Oh dear! We so much wanted to like this place but as we drove in, the general mess and untidiness set alarm bells ringing. We stayed in a motel studio for one night. There are several other options and in reading reviews you need to ensure they are relevant to your needs. The motel rooms are newish and our studio... More

This is a very basic holiday park. Our cabin smelled musty and needed airing. We doubled up the mattresses on our double bed and there was only just enough room to sleep. If you are over 6ft (1.83cm) you wouldn't fit here. The water needed to be boiled or filtered. Bathrooms were ok but we could cook in the cabin.... More

A very basic camping ground. Our room was dated and the mattresses thin. The early morning call from the rooster caused some frustration In our cabin. The toilets were a little whiffy. However, the area is lovely and the staff were friendly. Free wifi. It was cheap accommodation and overall served its purpose. A good base to drive out to... More

We had a quiet night here in a campervan, however it was the worst holiday camp of our trip. The place is a bit run down, has drinking water shortages (also several taps do not work), and does not accept 'normal' rubbish. In addition it is over a 5 minute walk to the beach, through a farm paddock. We arrived... More

We stayed in a powered tent site for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tent sites are beautifully situated in a large grassy area with lots of shady trees. It was a busy time of the year but we found the facilities were kept clean. Yes they are basic, but quite adequate. 5... More

I am a typical Kiwi and this brought me back to yester year. I arrived at a time of the year when visitors were few in number and the silence divine. Yes, the issues of others does hold some truth but if you have been through some developing areas than you are already used to this style of place. Its... More

I spent 3 nights on a powered site with my caravan. Many power points didn't work, I found only 3 water taps on the entire property, the ablution block was disgusting and I found it closed on the last morning of my stay, some plumbing problem I think. Thank goodness my van is self-contained. It was also the most expensive... More

I find it hard to believe that this person was absolutely disgusted in the camp but stayed for 3 nights, you would of thought that if someone felt the way they did they would of left after the first night as we do if asked give refunds, but never the less, there are 5 taps on the camping ground others... NB: This review is specifically for the tourist flats. The motel units looked new from the outside and have good reviews here. We stayed in both tourist flats - 1 couple in each - which have an adjoining kitchen. The bed linen and towels were clean, thankfully, but that is all the good feedback I have. The flats are obviously... More

Im not to sure when these people stayed in the tourist flats as it was rented to FX network from late February 2013 to October 2013 and was not let to the public from my knowledge during this period though I have been wrong before, I will concede that prior to November 2013 the tourist flats were in need of... Not a lot of of options in this part of the country. As you drive in the gardens are well kept and the sites are well maintained but the facilities are badly in need of updating. The kitchen was dirty and the fridge did not work. The microwave was old and in need of replacing. The shower facilities were once again... More

We chose this Park in preference to the more upmarket Hicks Bay a few kms away. We were surprised it was a litle way away from the township but had a nicely pleasant rural outlook. A bit of a walk to the windswept beach .. but that was ok ... good exercise. We chose the somewhat tired tourist flat but... More
