OK unit overall however the neighbouring units plumbing is clearly not insulated.. we were woken at dawn with the noise of plumbing...taps.. cupboard doors etc...just like we were in the next room. Paid 135 dollars. Suggest you try CHAMPERS Motor Lodge...cost 99 dollars....better unit...better value.

Same as Senator next door. I can't stand it when you enter a place with a smile and are met by a grumpy old dragon. Her first interchange with me made me pause, think and turn around and leave before even asking if there was a vacancy. Just go round the corner to Portside Hotel. Brilliant.

Great find in Gisborne that matched all our needs and then some. One queen, two single beds and huge amount of space. A TV in the bedroom and lounge. The bathroom spacious as was the entire apartment, friendly and helpful host, will definitely stay again.

Stayed here about 3 years ago and despite extensive research looking for an alternative, i kept coming back to this place. The reviews were still all excellent so decided to stay here again. Large, light, clean room with everything we needed for two nights and within walking distance to many bars, restaurants and shops, we were not disappointed. Great price... More

We had the pleasure of staying two nights in room no 14 and can honestly say it was the best room we have stayed in so far in North Island. The situation re access to the town and beach are both within ten minutes walk of the motel. The room was situated on the first floor and was in excellent... More

Truly a home away from home. Location is within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the river provides an opportunity for a leisurely stroll or to sit and watch rowing. Room and facilities were very clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful and friendly. Will return again and definitely recommend this to others.

Only stayed for one night and the weather was awful but the owners were excellent. We had electric blankets in the room. The room was clean and well equipped and the wifi quick. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a restful night stay.

This place is dead easy to find when entering Gisborne from any direction. It sits neatly on the river and within easy walking distance of the city centre and all the attractions the city has to offer. The motel is scrupulously clean and the staff wonderfully friendly, even to the point of offering a room upgrade without having to ask.... More

Quiet place to stay within easy walking to restaurants & river walkway. Very Clean room & bathroom, well laid out & good Wifi. Good laundry facilities that were easy to use. Very helpful with information on medical facilities due to needing to see a doctor.

This is a good place for a two night stay - the studio room was large, clean and well equipped. The only downside was the very poor water pressure and tepid water in the shower on the second night. The motel is close to the city centre (two blocks) and overlooks the harbour. Wifi is reliable and free (good limit... More
