Campgroung very close to the beach so perfect location. Staff very friendly. Modern cabin and very clean. Showers are free. Kitchen clean and well equipped but no crockery and cooking utensils so we didn’t use it. Wifi not free (unlimited 24h - 5$) No security camera in the laundry and someone stole our pants… so be careful.

Thank you very much for your candid review. We truly are in a fantastic beach side location and our staff try hard to give excellent service at all times. The cleaners take a great deal of pride in our reputation for cleanliness. We were so sorry to hear you were the victim of theft while staying with us. The security... More

An awesome place to stay particularly if you have kids. They love the blow up pillow and the go cart things. keeps them occupied for hours. The beach is very close by and a great option too. Food places - cart in camp which was great with baked potatoes etc and Captain Morgans over the road but don't go there... More

Thanks for taking the time to review our park facilities so positively. We understand that if children are happy, parents are happy, and it’s fantastic to hear we are on track with our efforts to keep the young ones entertained. Our proximity to the beach certainly is a bonus! And with the town centre only a 10 minute walk away,... More

Been staying at Waikanae Beach Holiday Park for over 16 years. Great location (right on beach), excellent facilities, close to town and always great weather. Current Managers are fantastic and really do their best to ensure everybody is safe and happy (families generally put together when tenting).

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our park. We are so glad that you enjoyed your time with us and appreciate your loyalty. We know we have a lovely park in a fantastic location and the great weather this summer has been a huge bonus. Gisborne is NZ’s number one place for its party atmosphere over... More

When my partner and I made an online booking to stay on a powered tent site, we were expecting exactly that for $22 a night, per person. We then found out on arrival that this is not the case. If you do not own a specific caravan rcd power cord you will find yourself powerless. Unless... You fork out an... More

Arrived really really late on new years eve eve, the festival season and Lawrence went out of his way to help us, by first checking out whether they had anything available for us whilst we were calling from another motel/accommodation. He ran back from the camp site to the phone and called us back to say that there was one... More

My husband and two younger children stayed here for three nights over Christmas. Although location is favourable next to the beach with suitable facilities, the inability to control night parties was a definite negative. We do accept that parties do occur over xmas/new year but respect for others staying in close proximity should be essential. A loud party continued to... More

We had a basic cabin, it was tidy and clean upon arrival. Not that big but your right by the sea so you don't spend much time inside. The facilities are good, kitchen has lots of sinks, chiller and freezer all accessed off your swipe. Toilets and showers were enough to cater for a full facility. The staff were friendly... More

The location is great, as the campground is situated right next to the beach. The beach itself is great to walk, jog, or run along, especially at low tide! The campsites are a little too small and orderly for my tastes; there isn't much separation (e.g. trees, bushes) from the surrounding sites. Despite this, the facilities are excellent! Buildings were... More

After looking for a closed camp that is now run by this same Top 10, we had no choice of holiday park in Gisborne. The camp store seems very well equipped, facilities seemed average as were the grounds. In saying this, this was the cheapest of the Top 10's on our trip with only $32 for a powered site for...
