Nice clean and great location! Very good cleaning staff, they clean everyday and give fresh linen and towels. Very close to city centre. Only negative are the inconsiderate backpackers in the basement common room, who make a tremendous noise and disrupt sleeping, and works on a new hotel next door were a bit annoying. Went for the Budget Double Room with my wife. The room was bigger than we'd expected. Great location. A little off but close to crowded streets of central Auckland. Booked months in advance -arrived 10pm very tired, told no parking at all, had expensive gifts in vehicle, they couldn't care less. Had to find somewhere else at 11pm and they still charged me a full night. Never go there. more

This place is more like a hotel than a hostel but it has all the facilities for backpacker accommodation. Some of the reviews have mentioned small rooms - I have stayed in 4 star hotels with rooms of a similar size in Hong Kong so considering the cost and the location you really can't complain.
