Neat and tidy room, well decorated with Modern furnishings. Great location with half hour walk to Harbour. Good parking available at all times. Cooking facilities clean and well catered for with all the equipment that you needed. Spacious bathroom with nice hot tub. Thanks for the visit!

We had an executive studio room on the second floor with lots of space, including a kitchenette with fridge and sink and table area. Housekeeping did our dishes each day! The bathroom was quite spacious, including a tub. Likewise, the bed was large and comfortable, and had a good sized wardrobe in the corner. The surrounding neighborhood, Ponsonby, had quite... More

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights back in Dec 2014 and it was a lovely place in a lovely area. I found it clean, roomy, very comfortable, and the staff was quite helpful. The area had lots of wonderful places to eat and shop (Ponsonby is quite trendy) and it was a quick 10 minute bus... More

Abaco is a small, clean, well-located hotel, where my 21-year-old daughter, my wife, and I stayed for four (weekday) nights. For Auckland, it's relatively inexpensive. The proprietor-family lives on the premises. They were available and attentive. Though a bit of a hike from Central-Business-District (CBD) and ferry-terminal destinations, it's very well-situated transportation-wise: the "Outer Link" (Orange line) buses run right... More

Stayed 2 nights, service at front desk was terrific, rooms were clean and kitchenette was handy. A quick bus trip to downtown Auckland or a stroll through trendy Ponsonby. Very enjoyable stay and room big enough for our young child to sleep and play. Great job guys.

The front desk here was friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was very clean and functional - although I don't think it had a washing machine (from memory) and only a small freezer. The car park could get quite busy too. But the real winner here is location - great value so close to Ponsonby road. Lovely to take a... More

We spent 2 nights here at the start of our recent one-month RV journey around New Zealand. Our flight didn't arrive until late at night, and we didn't make it to the hotel/motel until after midnight in the rain. The management had left a big envelop taped to the reception front door for us, telling us our room number and... More

This is a very nice place. Our room was small but comfy. The staff are friendly. If you are arriving by car ask for one of the rooms at the back. You can park right outside the room which is convenient. Not that close to the city but there are decent eateries in the area.

I stayed four nights recently and really enjoyed it. I usually stay in the CBD but it was great to be in a clean, tidy roomy unit close to great cafes and bars in Ponsonby. Free parking was good. Only a short bus or taxi ride down to the viaduct and CBD. Only gripe was the room had a separate... More

Very nice room with a large, comfortable bed, huge flat screen with satellite TV, good bathroom. Heavy curtains kept all the light out if necessary, and the kitchen was useful with a fridge, toaster and dishes/cutlery, although there is no stove or burners if you were hoping to cook anything. The Ponsonby neighbourhood is old but trendy, with lots of... More
