I stayed here with 5 of my friends when we went to the Katy Perry concert and was very disappointed! To start with awful stairs to go down just to get to reception and with 6 girls all with heavy suitcases no one offered to help. We stayed here as they said they were fully furbished which being there for... More

Reception is open until late so we were able to check in after 10pm however, after travelling on a bus for 6-7 hers and exhausted we were told that they hadn't received our booking. Fair enough, these things happen when you book through external websites but it was disheartening. The rooms and apartments are very small and bizarrely, even though... More

Generally speaking, the apartment is simply acceptable, given the price ($35 per night for people staying over 2 weeks). The rooms are small, and some rooms don't have desks. The kitchen is in the common corridor shared by two rooms, and it is still quite small. Housekeepping are on a weekly basis unless people check-out. The quality of housekeeping varies.... More

A little unorthodox as a mixture of Hotel/Apartment and Backpckers, but it works. The Princeton is 17 storey building on Symonds St which is smack on the bus route from the Airport and literally drops you off over the road, and Vice-Versa. The Accomodation consists of Lockable rooms that are more akin to a small suite as you have, along... More

I stayed at plenty hostels while travelling around NZ, but this is by far the WORST! The building is basically a cheap accommodation building for students in Auckland, and when there are empty rooms, it would be rented out to travellers (thus "backpackers hostel"). PROS: - It's located in the city, but maybe about 5 mins downhill walk away from... More

This place is a doss house for the less fortunate in society and those looking to prey on them. Despite having lived and traveled extensively in some of the world's poorest countries I have never stayed somewhere as unsafe or filthy. Do not stay here!

This is a student accommodation building which rents out rooms that are not occupied. The rooms are very very small and you'll end up sharing the bathroom facilities with another person/student The single bed squeaked so much that the person in the other room (of the 'apartment') must have woken up every time I turned around... One night was certainly... More

I Stayed here twice, first time my boyfriend had rented the place for a week during Exams so i stayed a few times. Because the room was technically not mine, i didn't think too much of it, plus he only paid $40. The double bed is two singles pushed together, i didn't really mind- but there was no floor space... This place is disgusting and was the worst introduction to New Zealand we could have had. The "double" room was TINY with 2 singles pushed together with a gap in the middle. The kitchenette was foul with mess/dirt everywhere and with one mug between 4 people. We ate out all the time even though we booked specifically so we could... More
