I booked in because of its proximity to the hospital. I only wish that I had read other peoples reviews before I booked .. Everything said about the place is accurate. I would never recomend this place to anybody.

I had booked for a special occasion, saw the recommendation to request one of the room (s) facing Auckland Hospital, so requested it. This place was cheap. $85 in central AKL opposite the hospital. Room spartan, plastic garden chairs furnishing rooms, tiled floors throughout. No frills, no milk for my morning cuppa. Very cheap decor. A bit of road/ ambulance/ helicopter noise at night from the nearby road and hospital. Exactly the standard expected. Nothing flash but comfortable.

Checked myself in, went up to the room, and immediately checked myself out again. The room was cheap, nasty and was FILTHY!!! I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. Was going to charge me $105 for the night, and now at Sky City Grand at $169 - WAY MORE CLEANER AND FLASHER, for only a little more!
