Devonport is a beautiful village, and The Esplanade Hotel is located in the centre with a view on the city and the harbour (It's just a 10 minutes ferry ride to Auckland CBD). The service is very friendly and we really enjoyed staying there. Would love to come back again! more

We stayed here at the end of a ten day trip to the North Island (just got back last week) and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband and I stayed at the Esplanade for the last few nights of our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. The location is fabulous (as long as you realize it is in Devenport...not Auckland...but just a very short and often running ferry ride away), the ambience is impeccable, and the management couldn't have been more accomodating. more
