Nomads Auckland was a very nice place to stay. I am surprised to see how friendly and helpful the staff are. During my short stay for a couple of days in this hostel i felt like I was at home. The room was so clean and to be honest I did not expect this for the price I paid. What... More

Nomads was a fine place to spend one night. The rooms aren't the nicest, but they gave us a good discount for having a large group and they're in a nice, central location. Don't plan on getting any sleep if you're there on a weekend night, as the noise level is controlled in no way. Upsides include fast computers, a... More

So I decided to stay in this hostel for a night. The room only had two sockets between 6 beds. Unbelievable. The bunk beds were so terrible where you couldn't even sit up on the bottom bunk. The rooms were this awful red colour and the whole place was just awful!! It is only what I could imagine prison is... More

Its a backpackers, so I never expect the world. I spent my night there in a private double w/ensuit and it was all we needed. clean bed, clean bathroom and half decent shower. I'd definitely book again.

12 beds, no air con and windows that can't stay open because of the noise from the street - makes for a poor nights sleep. Thank goodness I was only here for one night. The bathrooms are weirdly separated to toilets and showers on one side and more showers and sinks on another which makes no sense. Kitchen is a... More

Just what you need as a backpacker. The accommodation is in an excellent location, a couple of doors down from a 24hr mini mart and a minute, if that, from Queen St. Free tea and coffee is available from reception. A communal kitchen is available to the 7th floor which I found particularly useful as a backpacker on a budget!... More

We arrived at the hostel late due to our flight being delayed. We was given a very small room without windows which was not what we paid for which then spoilt our time in New Zealand. The staff did manage to move us to another room few days later. There is not much communication between staff relaying back to any... More

Didn't like the hostel at all. Very noisy and expensive. Our first room didn't even have a window (!!!), so we asked to switch rooms. Tooms are tiny, no space to leave your bags on the floor. The elevator isn't working prroperly (hostel has 7 floors...). The hostel is very untidy, especially the kitchen. Wouldn't recomment this to anyone. If... More

We had booked two double-rooms and stayed 2 nights. The location is excellent, near restaurants, pubs, shops and the harbour. Our rooms were quite small but ok for two nights. The rooftop area was a plus. The staff was mostly very busy but helpful. This seems to be a popular "backpackers" and very often full. We heard some noise from... More
