We had a fab stay at the Emerald Inn, the gardens are beautiful and the room was tastefully decorated. The motel is right next to the lovely Takapuna Beach and minutes away from the shops and restaurants. This is one of the best motels we have stayed in whilst in NZ. First impressions from staff were rude and unwelcoming. We purposely booked this place for a Bridal party. The staff did not welcome the idea of a late checkout the next day and were forced to book another 2 bedroom the following night. Our family in Auckland had booked the Emerald Inn for our first week of a month long trip in NZ. On arrival check in was very smooth and we were able to access our unit straight away even though it was only about 11am (I think!!).
