No matter what you are doing in Auckland, the Emerald Inn is extremely well located and serene and peaceful. Close to many good eating places...easy access to Motorways or you can easily catch a ferry from Devonport to the city The owners of this delightful place cannot do enough for you.......courteous and helpful office staff and .......you must relax in... more

We stayed at one of the villas - was like a little cottage/2 bedrooms, with every convenience. Was across the road from the beach and a lovely cafe, Very handy to many other restaurants and cafes. The villa was very clean, spacious - even had a dining room and outdoor seating with barbecue. Would stay again. Friendly, helpful people at reception. more

Has a lot of good points like nice setting and close to ammenities, beach, restaurants, shops etc. The prices charged for everything are over the top and the advertised sky TV will only give you a couple of channels. more

Having travelled 18 hours from a stopover in Dubai from the UK, this accommodation was ideally situated just 40 minutes from the airport, taking you around Auckland and ideally placed to head to the top of the Island. We stayed only 1 night on our way to the Bay of Islands. The accommodation was very clean and ideal for our... more

Having stayed here several times on visits to Auckland, our recent experience was very much as we expected. Takapuna is just out of Auckland, has a good beach, nice shops, some good restaurants (particularly Aubergine) and is away from the bustle of Auckland but the city is easily accessible. The Emerald Inn has numerous self contained units,is very comfortable and... more

Just returned from some fun family time in Auckland, where we based ourselves at the Emerald Inn. The rooms where very clean, serviced daily, nice and early and the unit contained all we needed, (we had a 2 bedroom suite) The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the inn seemed pretty quiet during our stay. Didnt make use of the... more

It is interesting that I am not the only person to have been treated very badly by rude management at this hotel. Two friends booked into this hotel and asked me to call them in Unit 3. I called the hotel and asked for Unit 3 - they asked for the last name of the booking. I knew one of... more

We had a fab stay at the Emerald Inn, the gardens are beautiful and the room was tastefully decorated. The motel is right next to the lovely Takapuna Beach and minutes away from the shops and restaurants. This is one of the best motels we have stayed in whilst in NZ. I can only assume that it has been refurbished... more

First impressions from staff were rude and unwelcoming. We purposely booked this place for a Bridal party. The staff did not welcome the idea of a late checkout the next day and were forced to book another 2 bedroom the following night. I would never recommend anyone stay here, the rooms were tidy however not worth the amount of money... more

Takapuna is a nice place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is located a min walk from the beach and bars etc so handy. The hotel itself was okay, the rooms were quite dated however very clean. The pool was very small and only a handful of sun loungers are available. Okay for a short... more
