Before I start, I should aff a proviso to this. I was on a Business Trip, this wasn't the usual standard of hotel I would stay in (I usually would stay in a mid range like Rydges) but it was the time of the Cricket World Cup Semifinal so accommodation in the city was hard to get, I started with... I was fortunate to have got a room in the Central Auckland City. The location is the best & right in the heart of the City and if you just want somewhere to sleep and not at all fussy this will do. The room is the smallest room I have ever stayed in, the bed was very soft and I... More

We booked a standard double room for 6 nights in total. The reception didn't have our booking to start with but managed to find us luckily and so we checked in and went up to our room. The room was very cramped, possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, even if there was a single bed in... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. All interesting things in walking distance. Clean room. Good bed. poor and small bathroom. Bad furniture. Bad WLAN. More YMCA athmosphere. Unfortunately only 3 points. They can do better.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was compact but had all the amenities we needed to get ready for the wedding we were attending at the Church 2 minutes up the road (iron and ironing board, hairdryer etc.). Of course you're in the middle of town so you can expect some traffic noise. Also probably wouldn't stay here in the height... More

The rooms may be just a small box with a bed & a bathroom BUT the location is fantastic. If you want breakfast you must book it in advance at the reception & make sure that if you pay for it when you book it that they don't try to charge for it you when you check out. I nearly... More

My college dorm room was larger and nicer than this room. The room was hardly larger than the bed and my husband and I had to back out to pass each other walking around the bed. But the location is terrific (1 block from SkyCenter and only a few blocks from the harbour), it was clean and the staff were... More

This basic hotel with a good bed at an affordable price for a central location was just fine for a night, especially if you are solo and have just one suitcase to fit in the room. It was so easy to reach from stop 3 in Queen's St on the Airport bus and the staff were very helpful and friendly.... More

This basic hotel is located just a 2 minute walk from Queen Street and Sky City. If you want a place to stay (and are not worried about amazing facilities and amenities) then I recommend this hotel. I travelled with two Japanese friends, who speak little English. The staff were very kind and tried their best to communicate with them.... More

I am giving this hotel an extra step up for one simple reason. Our 12 hour flight from Los Angeles arrived in Auckland around 7 am and we arrived in the city around 8 am. Check in was supposed to be at 1400 and there we were exhausted and with our luggage. No problems, they let us check in anyway.... More
