The buildings smell weird and people who stay here are very rude instead of politely asking you to quiet down they banged on out walls extremely loudly although I wouldn't mind if you complained to reception please dont bang on our walls.. Although it is worn down I do quite enjoy it unless the people below or above us have... More

Reached early in the morning. Lady at the front desk was friendly and gave me a room. I was quite dead beat at that time. Room was on the first floor. Room was not clean. I headed out shortly thereafter and requested a through cleaning. It was spic and span when I came back in the evening. Overall it felt... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. 15&16 March 2015. We were in an economy studio unit and was pleasantly surprised. It was roomy and clean. The bed was really comfortable. The unit itself needs a bit of updating but still liveable. What I missed was a couch or comfy lounge chair to sit in. The TV was above the head... More

We were a couple and another adult so booked a family room to share cooking facilities. The first unit we were put in was a bit disastrous on a hot humid day, as it had no aircon and only one opening window ( with a sash which needed a book or something to keep it open). We were moved the... More

I would only stay in the main building of this motel, the rooms are plain but a good size, the bed was comfortable and there is parking for guests and breakfast is supplied free of charge, also free internet. This motel is convenient to Newmarket and the shops.

The room we had was right next to the noisy road but the soundproofing was a little helpful (didn't quite cut all the noise though) and they had free parking outside the unit. We had a one bedroom family unit, the bed was only a double in the bedroom and quite hard so didn't sleep that comfortably. The 3 children... More

I really enjoyed my stay here at Alpers Lodge. Very close to the shops at Newmarket. The room was very comfortable, a decent size, clean and tidy. Huge king size bed, and all for just me. All the usual facilities. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Easy to get to as well. Good value for money.

Stayed 1 night at this motel to see Elbow in Auckland. Motel was well-located, being near the city centre as well as walking distance to Mt.Eden for good views of the city. Room was fine, lots of space. Cleanliness was also fine but could do with some tlc around the decoration. Considering this was in the central area of Aukcland,... More
