If any other hotel in Auckland has availability, don't stay here. This hotel is immediately underwhelming; dark and tired. The door to my room looked like it had been broken down before; carpets, linen and towels were stained. The shower is tiny; with the curtain drawn, you can't even turn around. Leave the curtain open and everything in the room... More

Sweeping huge room with sensational views of the viaduct along the balcony that was the length of the suite. Clean and tidy with plain decor and everything on hand that was needed. Short walk from the viaduct and shops. Well connected to great transport. Service from reception staff was perfect. Will stay again, great value for money.

This is a modest hotel in a building split between the hotel and permanent apartments. The staff are sub-par, disinterested and frankly just get it wrong. Simply things like chasing drycleaning, been assigned a car park that was already full. Stating the wrong charges for additional services etc (quoted $20 for parking, charge $30). The rooms are in very average... More

Lots of bad reviews for this hotel but there are a few positives as well, Very close to everything of interest in the downtown Auckland CBD, e.g restaurants, viaduct ,bars, casino, transport hub, stores etc Check in staff we had was nice but not clear with instructions and had too be checked several times about various details about the property and... The hotel is ideally located near the marina and city transportation. Our room was on the first floor and was acceptable. Clean, well equipped, and roomy enough for us. The carpeting in the hallway was in desperate need of a cleaning...makes one wonder. The desk staff were cordial and very helpful with touring suggestions. Stiff fees for Internet connection. I... The basic charge was modest for a hotel in the CBD, but the service was sub-standard and hotel policy appeared to be to sting guests for as much as possible by way of extra charges. The room was dirty and the air conditioner did not work. The $30 fee for car parking was triple the rate of a nearby commercial... More

Years ago I stayed here and had a high room with great view overlooking Auckland harbour. I had fond memories. Unfortunately this visit wasn't as memorable. I was 'upgraded' from a studio to a one bedroom (which I am grateful for). However, the room was very small; the hotel very tired, and corridors noisy with doors slamming. On a good... More

We were given a tiny room (probably because we didn't book on the hotel's website) and found the hotel meets basic needs however it is dated and would be nicer with a renovation. The hotel charges $30 per night for parking (remember to request this at time of booking) and the hotel is located a short walk from the city... More

Booked this hotel through an online hotel booking service (also booked sister hotel at airport the same way). Overall, a little disappointing - small bedroom, very small lounge/kitchen area - no sofa in room as indicated in promotional material - just a single tub chair which is a little useless when traveling with another person. Good sized bathroom but be... More

We booked a studio room for around $140 per night for two nights over a weekend. Rooms were a bit dated and could use a refurbishment but were clean, tidy and lounge/room was spacious for a studio. There was almost a full kitchen (bar an oven) which I found above what you'd normally expect from a hotel studio. I found... More
