Positives first...its location. You can walk down to the Harbour very easily from this Hotel but that's about the only positive. Pay for everything! Parking, WiFi and view. How it can class itself as a 4 star hotel is beyond me. The furniture in the rooms is old and in need of replacing. The tiles in the kitchen where cracked... More

I have stayed at this property a few times over the years. Great location as I was always only staying 1 night going through New Zealand and then coming back through the other way. Great to catch the transfers to the airport. They use to have early coffee/tea facilities when on an early transfer but don't do that any more... More

The hotel is in a good location if you want to visit Skycity, the waterfront or shop on Queen street but it can be noisy if you're on the lower floors. When we stayed there were road works right outside our window that started at 7am. The room muffled some of the sound but it would've been nice to have... More

We booked into the Grand Chancellor Auckland Hotel for three nights to go the Rolling Stones concert in November 2014. When we first arrived at the front desk, the staff were dealing with a very angry young man who was swearing his head off - not a great first impression!!! When checking in, we decided to arrange a shuttle bus... More

Hotel Grand Chancellor was our hotel for two nights during our stay in Auckland. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Both our rooms were suites with kitchenette and balcony (although the view of the carpark across the street is not a real highlight). Hotel has a great location between the harbor area and Skycity once you figure our how to... More

For a convenient location close to Auckland airport this hotel is brilliant. Staff were polite, helpful and had good interpersonal skills. Rooms are all on one level or up one flight of stairs. No waiting for small cramped lifts. Room was clean and tidy. Didn't try the food as I arrived late at night and left early the next morning.... More

If you like a hotel room that is closely related to that of a brothel, pubic hairs on the bed sheets and pillow covers, plus stains and dirt, then your heading to the right place. I will never forget my stay at this comic hotel as as soon as I arived I felt an urgency to go to the toilet... More

Want somewhere that does all the basics right that's easy to get to near Auckland Airport. This place is that. Nothing special but certainly nothing wrong. The daytime menu in the central eating area won't thrill your palate but its all good, simple stuff. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
