The accommodation itself was very basic - shared facilities and not that clean in comparison it others we stayed in, and for the price. The location of the hotel is within easy reach of central bars and the tower which was good but the facilities were not great. Beds were uncomfortable and the room itself was cold. The showers in... Our thanks to this and all guests who take the time to post a review. Even though this guest stayed in one of our budget Economy rooms it should be noted that all linen and towels are included as are tea & coffee making facilities, free parking, free in-room wi-fi and the room is centrally heated. On top of that... More

We stayed here as a family with two teenage children. Rooms were very small, barely with enough floor space to put suitcases. Was a restaurant on site that was reasonably priced. Parking was not guaranteed. Was ok for the price for 1 night as it is located right in the city.

It is a very basic hotel, rooms were clean though not big. Parking is very difficult with tight parking spaces as the place was not built for parking. But at least it's free. The hotel is very old, so moving within the hotel is quite complex, there are different lifts serving different floors and narrow corridors. It is at the... More

Thanks for your review. Yes our property is at the value end of the market (which is reflected in our great room rates) however we do offer everything that a traveller needs - much of it free. If you need extras like valet parking, roof top swimming pools and half a dozen restaurants - then we're not for you. We... More

Thanks for your great review. Good to hear you had an enjoyable experience and that our staff were able to assist you with your stay and ongoing travels. Re the breakfast price - given that it includes unlimited cups of espresso coffee that most NZ cafés charge $4+ for it's probably quite good value. We look forward to hosting you... More

Room was OK average really but clean. Short direct walk down main street to main city area. Free WiFi service. The check-in welcome could have been better. Overall the reception staff were helpful and most smiled.

Many thanks for your review. We're pleased you found the staff helpful and friendly. We occasionally like to remind our staff that it's the guests who are really paying their wages. More

I've stayed here several times over the years, great location for buses (including the airport bus - especially leaving town), it's not my first choice in Auckland but a reliable backup. Recently renovated, the rooms are looking better than ever. I do miss the old kitchen though, as I like self catering (especially breakfast) when away for a long time,... More

The hotel was clean with all the basics the room was tiny and cramped with hardly anywhere to put anything but this was okay for us as we were out the whole night. Also choose not to have breakfast here as it was so expensive much cheaper and nicer looking restaurants down at the viaduct. Overall a cheap place to... More

Thanks for your generally good review. Yes some of our rooms are on the small side but that's the reality of inner city real estate values. Thanks for appreciating the overall good value. More

Kiwi International hotel should be a motel. Firstly, there was no fridge in our room, or a phone to call reception. THeir breakfast opt is so pricy compare to other hotels with higher ratings. $15 for a continental breakfast, you can get a full breakfast for $20 or $25 at a hotel like mecure or sudima. our room was not... This reviewer says "I was certainly not on a budget". Why then would you book into a hotel at the budget end of the market, take the cheapest Economy room, squeeze in an extra person - then complain that it was budget?? Our standard rooms are really nice - why go for the economy?? Our breakfast is actually better value... More

The only pro of this hotel is its location, on a quiet road off Queen Street. The hotel quality is pretty low, with just 1 shared bathroom on each floor. No free wifi; breakfast not included. I would not go there a second time.

Do you have the right hotel here? We are actually ON Queen Street not in a street. We do offer free wi-fi. More
