stayed at Mercure Auckland for 2 nights, Junior Suite. Had a fold down Sofa bed for the kids and a Master Bedroom. Was great location for Exploring Auckland City, right next to Downtown Auckland and Britomart Train Station. Room was clean and roomy for a family of 2 adults, 2 kids. Valet Parking avail (at a cost) so that was... More

This hotel has been my choice of places to stay at for some time. It offers good value for money and its central location can not be beaten. There are many great places to eat nearby. Also has friendly helpfull staff and is a well maintained and managed hotel.

larger bed size and better pillows would have been good. Room wasnt serviced til after 3pm by which time we had returned to the room after shopping, ready to rest. A nuisance to need to go out again while it was done.

Loved this hotel. Perfect location for public transport and airport bus. Also right in the middle of shopping areas and has heaps of places to eat (and drink) nearby. My room looked as though it had been recently refurbished, and though it was relatively small, was very comfortable. Great bed and good climate control in the room. Nice large TV.... More

The hotel was located in a great position down near the harbour however it was desperately in need of renovation. Rooms were adequate but everything looked just a little bit worn and dated. The room rate was reasonable but $40 a night for valet parking was a bit steep.

Family of 4 staying in one bedroom suite. We did not mind too much that the modern hotel lobby was not reflected to the old, tired rooms. We did mind that we asked three times for the TV to be fixed for the kids to watch without any action being taken and, that the heating was not working but made... More

The hotel is located very close to the ferry terminal and right above britomart station right at Queen Street. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed, but the my room was a bit outdated and could use some refurbishments. However, the room was very clean and the renewed bathroom was nice.

The Mercure has a excellent location close to everything, This is probably the most redeeming factor of this hotel. We stayed Fri/Sat/Sunday night, 6th floor, harbour view. Noise from street on Friday and Sat night was excessive and lead to a very disturbed sleep. The heating/cooling system is antiquated and noisy which also hinders sleep so we needed to turn... More

Located right in the middle of the city by the waterfront, there's plenty going on downtown Auckland. Lots of bars (all owned by the same people) on the water front. A good restaurant to check out called Waterfront too (or something like that). Service was friendly, very professional and pretty helpful. The restaurant was decent but a bit pricy for... More
