I, along with my other two girls, decided to go to Mercure just for a drinks and to enjoy the spectacular view from the bar. We usually come to this place however this experience was just unbelievable. We observed that it was quite evening. There was table of 4 right next to us who were sitting by the couch and... More

Booked my hotel stay via the Accor reservation toll free number in the US. Was told Sofitel and Pullman were either sold out or did not have the 2 double bed config I had requested. Was directed towards Mercure as a 3.5 to 4 star hotel. Mercure Auckland is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. In specific, room 820.... More

Nice big room with comfortable beds clean but room and bathroom was very old and tired looking. Price was very reasonable, but restaurant prices very expensive. Lovely view from bar area and very friendly staff. Would certainly stay there again

Right in the middle of Auckland city this hotel is in a great location - but that comes at a price. Especially the parking charges I find exessive ($40) - my adivse is to just drop your bags and park in a Auckland city council car park for half or even less - depending on time of day.. As a... Hmm..this hotel as nice as informed. Even the price little bit high but you got what you pay. A big room with old style. Nice view to the harbor and shopping center, bar, restaurants just a step away. The small problem only if you rent a car since they could offer you quite pricy cost for bring your car to... More

We recently spent four nights at this hotel and it is not of a standard one would expect in a city. Our room was old and tired, the air-conditioning was very noisy and ineffective, the safe didn't work, the plug hole in the vanity basin had no mesh over it, the toilet 'handle' didn't work properly, the TV remote had... I booked one of the cheaper rooms when visiting Auckland for a friends wedding. The room was on one of the lower floors overlooking Custom Street. The noise from the street would likely be a issue for light sleepers. The room itself and hotel facilities were comfortable and represented good value for money. Fantastic location as a base for Auckland... More

This hotel is of the standard of backpacker hostels I have stayed in. Don't be fooled by the reception area. When the lift opens to your floor the musty smell starts. The paint is chipped, carpet worn , bathrooms musty and the rooms don't have air conditioning. Only redeeming features are the beds were comfortable and the location. If you... More

My partner and I spent one night in December 2014 at the Mercure in a standard twin room. The service was very good,, the location suited us perfectly but we were disappointed by the state of the room which was clean but which obviously had not been renovated since the 80's possibly. There weren't even any net curtains in the... More
