“A real Auckland gem!”

We had the best stay ever at this glorious little haven. Gerry and Sally couldn't be lovelier hosts. We felt so well looked after and breakfast was devine. The location is excellent and meant we could easily wander in the best part of Auckland. A glorious setting whatever the purpose of your trip. 5 stars!

“Fantastic home away from home”

I have to respond to Micky G as I am a regular at the hotel and Hemi the dog is not at all scary. He loves a pat and is more likely to give a serious lick than anything else. I am not a dog person but Hemi is a friendly family pooch.

“Special place, yummy breakfast”

Holly the young person who showed us in was wonderful with her knowledge of the area. Very friendly staff. “Perfect excepts for dogs”

A very nice place, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. I stayed 3 weeks. The only problem was the owners' dog, which was large and scary. A few times I was intimidated enough not to be able to come out of my room. And it scared my son once. I did tell the owners but the dog still... More

I am sorry Hemi gave you a start. He is not supposed to be at the B&B unless a guest asks to see him and many do. I am pleased tho that you enjoyed the place otherwise. We really enjoyed having you all to stay. More

Minutes from very cool shopping and restaurants, the Great Ponsonby is a real find. We stayed a week at the aptly named Great Ponsonby Arthotel and did our homework well before booking.
