My husband and I stayed for the Mariah Carey Concert at Vector Arena. There were no budget hotels left that were close enough to the arena, so we booked a 4 person room instead. This room was down stairs and had shared facilities. We stayed for 2 nights. The location is great, the arena is only a very short walk... More

This hotel was absolutely great during my stay while in Auckland. I roomed here both upon my arrival and a day before I departed the country. There are a number of reasons why I would certainly stay here again if ever again in the city. Firstly, it’s very closely located to the city center where there are many shops, eateries,... More

Stayed here before we flew out of Auckland. In a good location and easy to get into central Auckland from the hostel. Our room was really damp though and the light bulb was fading so it was ridiculously dark. We went up to ask for a new bulb and the girl on the desk was quite unsure about what to... More

I choose this hotel simply because I stayed a night & wanted to be close to queen street. The road leading to the hotel from queen is steep with incline as well as a short decline so be careful with luggage. There a few stairs at the entrance that lead up to the reception but once you're in, it's alright.... More

I stayed twice at this hotel - 3 nights in a private ensuite room, and 2 nights in a single room with a shared bathroom. Auckland is a very expensive place, and this hotel was good value. The ensuite room was great - double bed, big bathroom, kettle, heater, and nice and clean. The single room was just okay -... More

The word 'hotel' in the Jucy context may be a bit misleading as by virtue of facilities on offer it could be considered such, but in execution it is much more akin to a backpackers with upgrade options. Pro's: great location at a reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Con's: Clear issues with the cleanliness of rooms and... More

Booked the room months in advance based off picture on the website only to find it had depicted a higher priced room with en-suite (we had unknowingly booked the hostel standard). We payed the extra to get said higher priced room only to find dirty blankets (hairy and stained), and a mouldy pile of teabags in the kettle which we... More

Stayed at Jucy Hotel on Saturday 11 Oct 15. Picked because adjacent to Theatre we attended. Check in very friendly etc. However, on return to hotel about 11pm a party was taking place in next door room. Walls and doors very thin. More revellers returned to hotel throughout evening culminating in intoxicated girls laughing and shouting obscenities between 4:30 and... More

Hi there, I apologise for the noise in the Hotel and for the inconvenience caused during your stay. Auckland City has been extremely busy with international concerts and events and as a result the hotel has been incredibly busy. We do have 24 hour reception who are available for any issues that may arise during your stay. Our night porter... More

Ive only stayed at three backpackers/budget hotels in Auckland and this one was the best. A bit hard to find down a narrow side street, but it's super close to Queen Street and the wharf. There is on-site parking which is fair at $15/night considering how close you are to everything. We got a deal on the double private hotel... More

The hotel rooms I booked were simple, but clean, safe and tidy (which is most important to me). Everything functioned as should do. Staff were friendly and helpful towards us - big thumbs up there. Didn't have any problems while staying there - $15 a night for car parking. Car parking in this area is near impossible at night. Only... More

Hi Louisa, Glad you had a great time at the JUCY Hotel! Being located in the central city is great for exploring Auckland and we do have some parking available underneath the JUCY Hotel. The Auckland area is built upon a volcanic field (none of which are active!) which does mean there are a few hills around - you're right... More
