Me and my friends stayed at Aspen for a night...We got a room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. It was our first night in New Zealand after 10 hours flight. This is a great 'posh' hostel. We had a double room with the best shower I've ever had in a hotel. Superb and perfect for the city centre and budget travellers. more

We did get the cheap room and shared a bathroom, so we didn't expect much...but it wasn't the best place in the world either. No air conditioning...or at least not that we noticed. A smart clean hotel in a good location. Beds are comfy, breakfast was cereal, toast etc. The reception team were friendly. Not a five star but a good hotel at a good price. more
