I stayed five nights at the Rydges for business/pleasure. The hotel has just been remodeled and it shows. Everything is new and feels modern. Great location -- a block from the Star City complex (where the hotel prices are very high). The hotel had lots of workspace for business with great lighting. Good location, near Sky Tower and walking distance to harbour. Contemporary room, newly refurbished but rather small. Wonderfully comfortable large bed with super bedding. Flat screen TV. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fairly impersonal sort of place. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't great and the dining service poor. Reception staff were good. more

I didn't rent a car this trip, so one factor in staying here was the Airbus stops here, plus the location was great and the hotels was redone. The bed were nice new white linen and lots of pillows.
