The hotel is right on the harbour with paid parking adjoining, a big plus. Reception staff are good and efficient but the bedrooms are simply wretched with with stained carpets, uncomfortable beds with unironed bed linen and grubby bed covers. The bathroom was basic with dirt ingrained grout around the bath tiles. The rooms have great harbour views but late... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on 30th March, 2013. I booked this hotel on-line and were given a great price of NZ99 per night (which is only about $A80) Included in this price was a Superior Harbour View Room with a King size bed, 2 free cocktails and a late checkout. Our cruise finished in Auckland so... More

This hotel is just by the Viaduct restaurants and downtown Auckland and has excellent harbour views. Whilst the rooms are not ultra modern, they are comfortable and the bed was excellent. We also used the bar and restaurant and both were excellent.

Pros + Relatively cheap (via a deal I got on Agoda) + Good location, right across the harbour. Few minutes' walking distance from the Ferry Terminal Cons - The furniture and furnishings are really, very dated. The place could use a serious upgrade/refurbishing. - No free wifi - Can be a little bit noisy. I could hear the people in... More

My second stay here and I chose it over other hotels I have stayed at in Auckland CBD. It is good value for central city. Great location and views. It is noisy on a Friday night through to the wee small hours but get real, this is a city centre and that's what people do late at night in world... More

We stayed 2 nights 13/14th March in a standard room. Initially we were allocated a room on the second floor that smelt so badly of smoking that we had to ask to be moved and were reallocated to a room on the third floor. Apparantly smoking is permitted in rooms on the second floor. So if your a non-smoker (like... More

My friends & I stayed here for 1 night & we chose to stay here primarily due to the proximity of the hotel to the viaduct - it is right across the road. This would have to be the major draw card for the hotel. Although, if you are a light sleeper, you may not want to stay here due... More

My wife and I stayed there for the Motorcycle Speedway GP event. We stayed at the same location last year, and had no hesitation rebooking for this year. The views from the rooms are spectacular, and the location is convenient to transport, entertainment and eating choices. Noise from nearby nightclubs can be disturbing on Friday and Saturday nights, but is... More

The hotel is located across the street from the marina and ferries. Great location for activities. We took a ferry to Waiheke and the hotel was less than 5 minute walk to the ferry dock. The hotel itself is OK. The rooms are a little worn but we just slept in them. Which, was noisy because of it's location. The... More

The hotel has a great location with views across the harbour, but it does suffer from late night noise due to its proximity to bars etc on the waterfront. Despite this we enjoyed our stay of two nights and found the staff friendly and helpful. We didnt have breakfast included but there is a sizeable discount available if you add... More
