Have always stayed in this Hotel when visiting Auckland, the location is great. Our room was clean, but dated, the harbour view from window is outstanding. Still disappointed that wifi is not complimentary in rooms, the price required to use this service is over priced which lets this Hotel down.

The Copthorne group are definitely letting their hotels age. This one at the Auckland harbour is in a fantastic location, you can't beat it really for centrality and views. But tired hotel and really lacking in service quality and restaurant is very very average and overpriced. Plenty of great eating places to choose from at the viaduct and if you... More

Great location, stunning views and the front desk were very helpful. I mistakenly booked a twin for my husband and I. We asked to change to a double but they had no double rooms left so they up graded us to a Junior Suite. If you need to stay here do yourself a favour and book the Junior Suite! We... More

The location of the hotel is just great. Right in the centre of the city, almost on the ferry wharf. The room itself was ok, the bathroom outdated and unfortunately the wifi was way overcharged. What is it that big hotels cannot offer this service for free? On the day we were checking out a cruise ship came in, which... More

The hotel is perfectly situated with great views close to the ferry terminal, buses and restaurants, with a big supermarket a 10 minute walk away. It is however tired, the staff although friendly don't really have their finger on the pulse. The breakfast is way overpriced and needs a serious overhaul.

If you are looking for a 4 star accommodation (as advertised) then this is NOT it. The overpriced rooms are in severe need of remodeling and a good old fashioned cleaning. In addition, we waited 30 minutes for them to find our reservation in their computer system and no apology was ever made. The experience made me so mad that... More

We stayed here for two nights in November 2013. After checking in we were getting changed to go out when another guest walked into our room! They too had been given our room key - I immediately phoned reception and expressed my horror at another guest walking in on us and was advised that we should be in the room... More

Quick pleasant check-in, and efficient check-out. Rooms basic for the price, no extra cup, tea or milk put in room for our extra person, but the bed and towels were all set up on arrival. Location is great for ferry access, with a short walk to Viaduct and on to Wynyard Quarter.

If you are looking for something in the centre of Auckland, this is great. Staff very helpful, we needed direction somewhere and they were able to provide these. Also allowed up to have a late checkout at no extra charge, although we did not end up using it. The rooms had actual keys. It was the first hotel I had... More
