The hotel is in a good location with great views but is in desperate need of a massive refurbishment! This hotel has quite a good location (near the Viduct), I think this is why the Hotel is a Copthorne Hotel. The hotel should really be one off the companies lower star KIngsgate Hotels (I have even stayed in better kingsgate hotels !). Very shabby hotel rooms, with broken fixtures (windows/curtins), rude staff, poor quality room service dinning. Not recommended.... more

Rooms had been recently redecorated and very nice, but unfoturnately the bathrooms hadn't had the same attention given to them. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and the toilet consistantly ran. We did a bed and breakfast 'special' package for a night away on our own. Spent most of the night awake listening to racket of noisy vehicles and revellers in the street below. The awesome harbour view did not really make up for this. Rooms, and especially bathrooms are getting very tired, I guess the hotel is showing its age.... more
