Great location but very old & tired; complete with cracked tiles in the bathroom, a tv remote that didn't work & room service that was delivered to a different room over an hour after it was ordered (& it was only a salad!) Wouldn't recommend it at all.

I stayed at the Corpthorne for 3 nights in October and the hotel is old and tired. The furniture in the rooms are old and far over it's expiration date. The beds are not very comfortable and the bathroom is old and should have been renovated a long time ago. You have to pay 25$ for 24 hour wifi and... More

Old, tired, dirty, horrible 40 year old beds, grey sheets, threadbare covers, lumpy carpeting with no pad, mildewed bathroom tiles, no mini bar, temperature control inoperable, noisy, rude staff, terrible "free" wifi in lobby....just plain disgusting.

This hotel has great views over Auckland harbour and is convenient for the ferries to Devonport, Waiheke and Rangitoto (see photo) and is often good value with internet deals. The staff were perfectly friendly and helpful although reception can be understaffed at busy times like check out. We only took the breakfast once (on the Saturday) because with so many... More

Bed warm and dry, furnishings tired and dated. Room could do with a coat of paint as looks like smoke yellow, light bulbs need replacing. Bathroom has patched up tiles. Fine for a business stay and location is great. Staff were fine

We've stayed at this hotel some years ago and decided to return again as its right on the waterfront and very convenient for what we were in Auckland to do. However, the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true and it was not a good experience. I'm just glad we didn't pay too much as its certainly... More

I have visited friends in this hotel before so I called to make a reservation. However, it took several calls to get through. After waiting for ages, I finally spoke to a reservation clerk. However, he was so rude he left a bad taste in my mouth. After thinking it over for a day, I cancelled my reservation. If they're... More

Booked this hotel for a weekend away due to price and location. Turned up to very average front of desk service, the girl could hardly speak English. The car park isn’t accessible from the hotel so you have to walk around the outside of the building to get to it. The lifts looked like they should have been put out... More

Arrived late (around 11pm) to discover that the our room was still dirty from the previous guests. I guess this room must have been overlooked for the entire day's housekeeping? Had to call reception a few times and a junior staff got a bit confused about the correct course of action which I would have assumed is a no-brainer -... More
