We have travelled the world (including Africa, South America and India). This is probably the worst hotel we've stayed in for the money. Very well situated near the harbour and the staff was generally friendly and that's where my positive comments end. The hotel is in dire need of renovation. The rooms are extremely dated and all previous (negative) comments... More

After staying in many lovely hotels and motels in north and south island this hotel is the biggest disappointment in NZ, despite being one of the more expensive. The whole place is dated and as previous reviews have stated the bathroom is disgusting....mould on the shower curtain , a toilet seat from the 60s and mildewed grout on the many... More

Greatest disappointment in Auckland! the hotel is rated 4 stars: to say the less this is true deception. The whole hotel gives the impression of an old building poorly maintained. at the reception (dark and with a worn out carpet) we have been given (metallic) keys to our rooms: the hotel does not have magnetic cards. my room was located... We arrived early at this hotel and was very sourly told 'your room isn't ready yet' As it was well before 2pm (the advertised check in time" we sat in the foyer for a while. We checked in and had to leave a Deposit for three nights , which had to be in local currency and I offered Aust, Dollars... More

The hotel location is great as we had just come off a cruise ship which was approx 200/300 mts away so it was pull your luggage across the road to the hotel. It was close to the marina and many resteurants. The hotel is very very dated. The room on the 12th floor gave good views across the harbour but... More

I think this was a huge waste of money. Let me tell you what happened: We arrived with the cruise ship and were so excited that we would only need to walk like 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The reception and lobby looked not too bad, actually kinda comfy and cute, so we were excited about the room,... More

Good location near to everything in h downtown Auckland. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are getting a bit tired and dated but clean and comfortable, Didn't eat there as better value outside. If you can get a good rate or deal its worth going but I wouldn't pay the full rate for the room.

Was a very nice New Zealand hotel keeping in mind new Zealand is smaller an slower. With that said the rooms were very nice up to date good beds. Good bathroom an shower. Really nothing was wrong. Would definitely stay again. Close to lots of things especially. Harbour Staff goes out of way to make sure your stay is pleasant.... More

To begin with, I made a booking over the Internet, after seeing an advertisement for their reduced room charges... But the service was down, so I rang them. The manage or staff then tried to tell me that the rooms were not reduced. So I then gave him the web site that I was looking at, and he tried to... More

The location and its own parking in the hart of the Auckland Harbour for $160 is quite good deal. We are coming on regular basis and will keep coming. On weekends you might not find a free room. The staff is friendly and helpful. WiFi is not free (cost $10 per day and we paid $30 for three days) and... More
