This was one hotel my friends and I stopped at while we where backpacking through the south pacific. Alone the hotel was nice and clean. But the only night we stayed their me and 4 friends got on the elevator and it got stuck. After an hour of calling for help and trying to get out. We finally where able... More

Ideal hotel for walkers. About 15mins walk from City Center and Harbour but is up a small hill. Rooms are comfortable and adequate. Ours had a big flatscreen TV, kettle, Iron and Ironing Board, Hairdryer and desk to sit at. Staff are very kind and accomodating. We had a sports team check in at all the rooms around ours and... The Copthorne Harbour Hotel was in a great position. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you......making sure the suitcase that missed the blight turned up ok and getting laundry done on time. Food was not so hot. Trouble was that the hotel is due to shut at the end of the month and we we not advised... More

Fantastic site opposite the harbour in Auckland. It's rooms have seen better days but that was reflected in the price that was extremely reasonable. Car park had plenty of spaces but did come with an additional charge. Everything accessible by foot including sky tower.

Actually was trying out this hotel due to a tip of a local taxi driver, as I needed a place close to the ferry. Location of the Copthorne is very good, acorss the street from the ferry building and main central city/queenstreet in about 2 min walking distance. That's where the positives end though. The athmosphere was more like that... More

The hotel has a great location, really helpful and friendly staff but is let down by dates interior. When we booked on Booking.com they did not make us aware the hotel was closing at the end of July. There were limited facilities such as no cooked breakfasts and no sparkling water!! Such a shame for a fantastic location

The location for this hotel is amazing. I was on the top floor and my view was pretty great, you literally cross the road and you are on the waterfront. The rooms are old, but fairly clean and well looked after. My bed was comfy. No free wifi though which is really frustrating on a work visit. Also the walls... More

Nothing that would stop another visit, but . . . Shower-over-bath indicates it's approximate build date. Friendly staff, nice room views over the harbour, double glazing to reduce street noise, reasonable in-room amenities, but some things definitely in need of attention. Things like: choked extractor fan in the bathroom - behind the grille, a de-laminating lower bathroom door, an old... More

Very good location down by the Quay, but within very easy walking of Queen Street. We had a really good view of the bay from our room, which was a reasonable size and clean. Staff seemed efficient and friendly. Continental breakfast was good. Admittedly it was a Sunday night when we stayed, but I was keen to find a lively... More

I stayed one night and the room was fine. The problem was the manager, Stephen John Newland. I was billed for 7 phone calls from my room with no mention or warning that the room provided phone was an extra cost. There was no sign stating this was an extra fee and I had just left a hotel from Taupo... More
