The property is quite dated but the management is superb. Onsite parking is available, breakfast is overpriced. There was a lot of noise from the street at night. Location is decent in central auckland. Most places we wanted to go to very nearby.

The location of this hotel is quite far from town. Quite a walk up the slope and is not safe to walk in that area after dark. Room are clean but a little stuffy as the air cond is cold enough. Breakfast was good but they only serve at the earliest 6.30 am. When we requested for earlier breakfast to... More

The hotel was average all the way around. It was centrally located, reasonable walk to the harbor in one direction and the sky tower in the other, but the area surrounding the property did not feel safe. You had to pay for parking, wifi, credit card use. Parking was difficult at best since the lot was very small and was... More

This was a very last minute booking. We needed a family room that slept 4 - we had 2 double beds which we could cope with as having 2 young children. It was the only place in 3 weeks of travel I had to pay car parking for, the air conditioning didn't work throughout most of the hotel (guests queuing... More

Supposedly received a complimentary upgrade. The room on the 5th floor was adequate but in need of an upgrade. Were surprised at the extra charges - parking, wifi and creditcard surcharges. Really let down by the food standard in the restaurant - Sticky Date dessert and Pavlova not recognisable as such. Hamburger(processed patty) and overcooked Chips not edible.

A slightly tired hotel in a reasonably convenient location - within walking distance of the main CBD sites and harbour, (hilly, but then the whole area is) although the other Copthorne on the harbour is better located for these, the hotel is not of the standard of others in the same apparent bracket. The car park is small, and works... More

This hotel is apparently a Qualmark 4 Star? Yes it was clean and tidy, but by my expectations it is not a 4 star, I would say 3! We were given what Copthorne Anzac ave call a junior suite, it was clean well presented and large, with a great view from the 6th and top floor; however the bed had... More

So booked this hotel as have stayed at plenty of other Copthorne hotels around the world and thus assumed this would be of a similar high standard. Booked what I believed to be a large family room (2 adults & 2 kids) and sadly encountered a very small room which was not suitable for 4 plus luggage. Then moved into... More

This hotel is so tired and mouldy it is not safe to stay there as there are many better options. The staff at the service could even direct me to where I would get a bus and it was only around the corner. Noise lasted till after midnight and very disturbing as there were fights in the street below that... More

The main dining area had stained chairs and old furniture. Our room had stains on the walls and musty smelling and quite small. The staff to be commended on how caring they were when i fell ill. They kept checking on me and even in the morning. It was a quiet hotel just needs refreshing.
