Fantastic, arrived early but they found a room for me, staff were really friendly and accomodating, room had everything I needed and room service was excellent. Recommended to my friends and would definitely stay again

Ideally located on Queen St just a 10-15 min walk to the harbour. Charge for valet parking but on route of airport shuttle bus. Stayed twice in Feb 15. Both rooms a good size - can be interesting shape given the wedge-shaped building. Well equipped, spacious, comfortable, etc. Staff excellent; good breakfast in restaurant.

This hotel was not what we expected based on the description. It was located a long way from the harbor area and nice restaurants. The only restaurants close to the hotel were Asian restaurants. Our room was very small and the TV extended into the access area to the bathroom so that we had to be careful not to hit... More

Hi Thank you for staying with us and sharing your comments, I am sorry you were disappointed. From the hotel it's about a 15 minute walk to the waterfront, there is a very frequent bus service that picks up right at our entrance and only costs 50 cents. Our economy and standard rooms are around 25 sqm and superior rooms... More

the room 801 was stuck in between the lift and the external aircon of the big building next door. The noise is therefore extreme from both ends. Hard to sleep during the night. Other rooms may be better, but I doubt whether I'd give it another try.

Thank you for taking the time to comment and I am sorry you were disturbed by noise. We are investigating the air-conditioning noise you heard. We appreciate your feedback and again sorry you found the room noisy. Kind regards Ken More

First impression after long flight is not good - small unwelcoming reception area off a busy street. Seems a little austere at first. However the reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was a surprise after our first impression - large room with kitchen facilities, table and chairs, sitting area and a bedroom area. We found the room... More

Excellent hotel located in centre with Waterfront a 10 minute walk away. Airport shuttle buses stop immediately outside the hotel which was excellent. Integral Restaurant was good food and value. Helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone

The Scenic is in a restored art deco building. The rooms are suites with a separate bedroom and a kitchenette. Be aware there isn't any air conditioning. The hotel is convenient to the wonderful Asian restaurants on upper Queen Street, K Street and the rest of downtown. Also be aware there is no parking except for valet.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to comment. All our rooms have air conditioning with individual control panels in each room so I'm not sure how you thought we did not have air conditioning. We do not have self parking but our valet parking is only $20 per day. Thank you for your feedback. Kind regards... More

Room was tastefully decorated and an adequate size for 2 people. The double bed was too small for us, we're used to a King, although the feather topper made us feel at home. The shower cubical was ridiculously small and you could barely turn around. I knocked the shelf off with my elbow twice and I'm small so definitely not... More

We stayed here in early February for 2 nights. It was located downtown near the waterfront (15 minute walk). It is not lavish but fit the bill for us kicking off our New Zealand/Australia trip. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and housekeeping good.

I chose the busiest time to stay in Auckland and this was the best value hotel with a room. Good location on Queen Street and easy walk to most places. Great for the early start to the airport. Had to park the car outside as parking area not open at time I left but street parking OK. Very efficient and... More
