Stayed here in the last week whilst attending a conference at the SKY convention centre. Great location - adjacent to SKY complex and shopping in Queen Street. Plenty of stores nearby to purchase snacks, felt safe late at night. My colleague found it somewhat noisy as there is a bungee jump across the street but that didn't bother me personally.... more

My husband and I stayed with our two young children at this hotel for 5 nights on a family holiday. The location of the New President is fantastic, right along the sky tower and main shopping strip. We had a 2 bedroom family unit that had 2 bathrooms and a small kitchenette. Only one of the rooms had windows, so it... more

We stayed here on a recent round the world trip and this was undoubtedly the worst hotel we stayed at. The hotel's location is ok, close to the main shopping stretch and the Sky Tower but Auckland is a compact city so anywhere in the centre is going to be close to all the cities amenities. In fact the entrance... more

We stayed here at the beginning of March 2009 for 3 nights and we were pleasently surprised after reading some of the reviews on this site. We booked it because of the location and the price after looking at similar hotels with not as good a location and hoped that it was not as bad as some of the reviews... more

I want to start off on a positive - this hotel is in an excellent location. You are close to everything. The skytower, buses, restaurants, pubs are all with in a 2 min walking distance. The front desk reception was not great - they never greeted you or acknowleded your presence at all. I stood in front of the desk... more

Best part of this hotel is its location, smack bang centre in Auckland, with just a short walk to the harbour, Sky Tower and other attractions. Room was very tired, and not especially clean; the curtains were filthy. Bed though was fine. Kitchen facilities minimal. Pretty good value for money though, for Auckland city. more

A friend and I stayed at the Best Western In January 2009. Was unimpressed as I walked through the door - combination of the tacky shop the lobby looks into on one side and the 24 grocers with the pictures of wanted criminals that had clearly done the shop wrong pasted to the windows. When we checked in I found... more

There is no doubt the BWNP has been around for some time just looking at the furnishings. We stayed in a 2room unit which had good kitchenette facilities and 2kingsize beds. Location was excellent and surprisingly quiet the 2 nights we spent there. However certain furniture looked slightly dated and the door needed to be pulled to ensure it shut... more

We stayed in a 2 bed 'deluxe' apartment. Our bedroom was so small I couldn't walk around to my side of the bed I had to climb over the bed to get in. The apartment had an awful damp smell with paint peeling off the wall. The shower fitting fell off the wall in the bath whilst trying to adjust... more
