The amenities were wonderful. Nice , large rooms, with turn down service, porters, valet all the bells and whistles. Staff were very professional, attentive and polite. Room was clean and came with a small fridge, sink area with coffee/tea etc. The pool/sauna area was lovely. Breakfast buffet offering wasn't large, but sufficient. We were very happy with our stay -... More

I would have given this hotel a 5 out of 5, but I believe that the actual room we were booked into was poorly located within the hotel. We selected the luxury room with a harbor bay view and were assigned room 311. The room is placed directly above a corner cafe in the building and the balcony rests just... More

We stayed at the Sofitel in Auckland for 2 nights on our honeymoon. Our room was very nice and the hotel is pretty close to the main touristy areas. We upgraded our room to a marina view, which I would say is not worth the extra cost. Looking out from our room was an apartment building. If you looked left,... More

Amazing experience at Sofitel, fantastic service, and beautifully appointed (and large) rooms. What a great experience from check in through to check out. Stayed as a special occasion (was my birthday) and when they found that out, they sent up a cake. It's the little things that you really remember and Sofitel definitely delivers. Would not hesitate to stay here... More

We recently stayed with Sofitel, as A silver member of the Accor advantage plus membership. I must admit as our second stay in a sofitel the first in Tahiti, the exceptional quality of the fittings, fixtures, comfortable bed (that was Devine) right down to amenities provided including a nespresso pod machine, was pure bliss. The staff attentive and friendly, valet... More

The language of choice at this hotel seems to be French, perhaps they get a lot of French visitors? The doorman and check-in staff were very helpful and efficient. Surfaces and decorations were outstanding, this feels like a very expensive place, but for us it was not. Our room was setup with a rollaway as requested, which is a rarity... More

This is a really sophisticated hotel with understated, subtle public areas. It has very cool spaces, low lighting, amazing artwork, The water features are amazing. The hotel room had some great features: wardrobe, mirrors, coffee machine, the bed (of course) and the amazing bathroom - it is a fantastic bath. It is a really lovely hotel, very cool. We would love... More

Stayed for two nights in this modern and efficient hotel. Well located in the new area of Auckland waterfront. We found the staff to be efficient and pleasant and we found the rooms to be pleasant and clean. What we didn't like: 1. A charge for $8.00 for "tray service" over and above all other room service charges. 2. My... More

Sofitel Viaduct is a lovely hotel. Stayed in a room on the 1st floor, with views onto the harbour. Staff are friendly and accommodating, the bar is great for a drink and a snack, and the restaurant is actually very very good. It's feels smaller and more personalised than the bigger chains in Auckland, and I'd happily stay again next... More

After reading great reviews on here perhaps I was expecting more than this hotel could deliver. The taxi trip there from the airport was a nightmare due to roadworks and a driver who had no idea. Hotel lobby was lovely and all staff were exceptional. Rooms however were a huge disappointment for the price. No harbour view , tiny beds... More
