I stayed here for four nights with my son after a business trip to Aukland and I cannot fault it. Seamless check-in and departure and nothing was too much trouble for the concierge - a big thank-you to Kris who I bothered relentlessly! Yes there are other hotels closer to the action of the viaduct but that also means they... More

Yes you pay more for the room than other hotels but we were wanting a romantic evening and this hotel delivered on that, our room had ok views and we needed to pull the curtains for privacy but size of room was great whereby we could sit and relax on comfortable lounge chairs. Roomy bath and shower and kitchenette with... More

I've stayed here before (in its previous life as the Westin) and then a couple of years ago as the Sofitel. The hotel still gets top marks for location and comfort of the rooms and bathroom. However I just felt that the customer service was brusque and very business like, especially at the front desk and lacked any sort of... More

I would like to have rated 5 stars, but in some regard I just wasn't satisfied. The location whilst special is a little out of the way. The hotel and some staff interactions gave a slight feeling of pretentiousness. Perhaps we just felt we didn't meet their standard of guest rather on their regard. The room was nice, however we... We booked this hotel via the web when flying up for a concert and had no idea what to expect. From the time we got there the staff were gracious, helpful and unhurried. The lobby had a calm ambience about it and the room was luxurious and roomy. The only picky fault was some delamination of a surface where the... More

Staying here at present, great service, very classy place, professional service as they add the French flare on most things. Rooms are great, get balcony overlooking Harbour, lovely, peaceful. Beds are luxury then the bathroom is excellent, bath is huge and the rain shower is one of those you just don't want to get out off. Luxury products included in... More

Great room. Awesome service. Fantastic food But why put an espresso machine in every room when u dont supply fresh milk? Also if your a smoker this isnt the place for you. No smoking on room balcony and no area provided for smokers.

Absolutely stunning, once you walk into the lobby it feels like a 5 star hotel. I stayed at Sofitel in Auckland for 3 nights. I come to Auckland often, and can say that it is the best hotel in Auckland that I have stayed at. I would rate Sofitel above Sky City Grand Hotel – Sofitel is perfect and every... More

Rooms are very good, as are the bathrooms. Spa was booked out for days. Location is central & convenient. Didn't have a chance to eat there, but it looked nice. Would stay again. Service was excellent.

from check in to check out, all aspects of the hotel were calm, relaxed, friendly and efficient. it is undoubtedly a thriving business persons hotel, but by no means exclusively so. we travel with kids and feel comfortable and very welcome. rooms and especially beds were comfortable, delicious room service food, spotlessly clean facilities, gentle lighting, gorgeous bathrooms, fantastic spa,...
