Stayed for 4 nights with my twin 20 year old twins. Great hosts love the welcome, 'arrive as a guest leave as a friend'.... All True. Watch out for easterly wind if you're after big king fish. Need to ask Jezza for a tip on the best fishos

My husband and I stayed at Kingfish Lodge for two nights for our honeymoon. We stayed in the CO suite- which had the most amazing views, our own private balcony, the most comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. The staff were so friendly and helpful and down to earth. They went out of their way to help us with anything... More

Having stayed at the Lodge a number of times over the last 20 years as a couple, we decided to take our 2 boys (12 & 14) for some relaxing & fun family time before the Christmas madness. In just two days we caught fish, we drank fine wine, we read, we played pool & chess & cards, we kayaked,... More

Went to Christchurch for a wedding then onward to north NZ for a one week holiday. Kingfish Lodge is an absolute gem tucked away in a beautiful and peaceful harbour. Staff were amazing and really made us feel like old friends. The food, especially the freshly picked oysters (right of its dock) is the best you'll find. The room we... More

Thankyou for taking the time to write to us. It is always so encouraging for our team at Kingfish Lodge to read messages such as yours, and also for Jacqui and myself as the new owners to reinforce the process we have followed in the refurbishment and redevelopment of the property over the last two years. The fact your holiday... More

A perfect place to escape and celebrate 50 yrs of marriage. Jeremy,Jordie ,Matt and Kingi made us feel very wecome and we were glad that we chose the Commanding Officers Suite to enjoy a couple of nights of pampering. The exquisite veiws up the west arm of the Whangaroa Harbour, the harbour that we have always considered N Zs best... More

Our thanks to you both for selecting Kingfish Lodge to enjoy your anniversary. It was a pleasure having you stay and relax in the C O's Suite. Your words of encouragement mean a lot to our team. Looking forward to your return, and our own visit to your special part of the Bay of Islands sooner rather than later. With... More

The weather forecast was good for our 10th wedding anniversary so we were fortunate to be able to take advantage of a special offer we'd purchased which included water taxi transport and lunch for two at Kingfish Lodge. Jordy took our booking and was very thorough in explaining where to park and how to find the water taxi. It was... More

Wow!what a breathtaking place-with Jeremy and Jacqui greeting us at the wharf we were welcomed onto the premises with fun and laughter yet in a very professional manner. The food is great, the menu choice is limited but that is because they use only fresh produce-so it often changes. All staff are friendly, they take the time to talk about... More

Thankyou so much for your lovely comments which mean a lot to Jacqui and myself along with our dedicated team who help make all functions a great success - even if nature and the weather intervene! Looking forward to your first anniversary, and of course it is lovely to see you both when you call into the lodge on occasion.... More

My husband and I made our first trip to New Zealand (from New York) this past winter and were thrilled to be introduced to Jeremy and Kingfish Lodge. Jeremy picked us up in his boat and brought us to the Lodge for a delicious lunch. We were enchanted from the moment we boarded his vessel and careened across the beautiful... More

In my previous posting about my extraordinary New Years at the Kingfish Lodge, I correctly identified and praised the owner's partner, Jacqui. But when i next referred to her, I called her Mary. In between typing my compliment of the Lodge, I got a call from my friend Mary. When I returned to the complete my posting, I typed in... More

My girlfriend and I stayed over Queen's Birthday weekend and were both thoroughly impressed. The sign above the wharf says "arrive as a guest, leave as a friend" and this was certainly our experience. Beautifully modern rooms and gorgeous decor throughout the communal areas. Amazing food too. But the highlight is the quality of the hosts, staff and their guests.... More
