If I'd paid $200AU I'd be raving about this hotel. Its very very nice. However, when one pays $350AU for a basic double room I expect nothing short of excellence. Upon arrival we had to carry our own bags to the room - no porter! I've stayed in three star hotels that make you feel more welcome. I don't care... more

This is a huge hotel, but the service was terrific. We had a lovely room on the 7th floor with a magnificent view. Very spaceous, clean & comfortable. We were warned on arrival about the renovations and possible noise, but we heard nothing. On the Sunday night the music was just a little loud coming from the Atrium, but the... more

We recently stayed overnight at the InterContinental Burswood Resort. Room was pretty good with city views. Good layout with cable tv and decent size bed. Staff were helpful. We had breakfast included in our package and I would have to say it was the worst breakast I have ever had. Most hot items were cold, inlcuding bacon and eggs. Hash... more

I'd read a few reviews of this hotel and it hadn't been that favorable, but my brief stay was great. The rooms were big for Perth standards, the beds for so comfortable and the new big Sony LCD TV's topped off the room. Having a seperate shower and bath was also much appreciated. I got this room for less that... more

We were excited about our stay. We had been given a gift voucher and heard good things about the resort. There were plusses and minusses. The plusses - king bed, views over the river, spacious room and spacious bathroom, deep bath, room service food and space in the room to sit down and eat it. The minuses - our room... more

We stayed here for the last night of our holiday in Western Australia and were so glad we chose this hotel. The rooms were lovely with great views of the Perth skyline - beautiful at sunset! The pool area is lovely and the gardens and grounds are beautiful. There are several restaurants - the Chinese is nice but very expensive.... more

This is not a 5* anything! The level service would have to be the worst I have experienced at this level of accommodation. I have sent a letter of compliant twice now, the only answer that i have recieved is a computer genertated one line saying that I will have an answer to my complaint in the next 5 days... more

We have stayed several times in this hotel, but this was the last. We occupied a River View Suite & adjoining room for 5 days. Security staff are overzealous, obnoxious & arrogant, including the causing of onother guest we knew to check-out early & move to another hotel. Housekeeping was sloppy & incomplete, forgot the bottled water, forgot to vacuum... more

On arriving at our room we noticed pretty quickly that it opened right out onto a huge indoor area containing restaurants, bars and amplified music. One wing consists of several stories of rooms, 20 or so in a row, facing directly into this area. We asked to move but were told the hotel was booked out (which was possibly true... more

As a previous reviewer has noted - this place needs to make up its mind what it wants to be. Either it is a 5* Hotel and treats its guests as such OR its a Vegas Style Casino Hotel in the 3* range. It s a pity really, the rooms are pretty good (Mine was a King with a view)... more
