We stayed at The Richardson two weeks ago enroute to Margaret River and the Kimberley's. It was a good location for us - between downtown and Subiaco - in a leafy residential/business district a bit like Belgravia. It's a small hotel and quite modern yet comfortable. Huge room, lovely bathroom and nice smellies. On arrival we had to give copies... more

I was outraged to find the Hotel Manager, Andrew Farnfield questioning our identity after checking into the Sandalwood Suite and ordering a bottle of Dom Perignon. As Owner's of a Restaurant, we rarely find time for a mini-break escape. For a 5 star establishment we were appalled by how we were treated, especially when we had booked into their Restaurant... more

This was my third stay at the Richardson - on company business. The hotel offers rooms with space - lots of it - a generous living area and kitchen that is well equipped as well as a good sized bedroom and bathroom. Many hotels have furniture that looks good, but is uncomfortable the moment you use them. Those in the... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at The Richardson. In terms of its spaciousness, design and the attention to detail of the facilities, our suite was excellent - containing everything we required, including a well appointed kitchenette, a second bedroom for our eight-year-old son and a 'work area' with high speed internet connection. Pleased also to discover kids channels on... more

I was travelling for business and then staying in Perth for a few extra days of relaxation with my husband. Initially liked the hotel although the lobby was a huge let down. Looked more like a medical center reception then a 5 star hotel- was cold sterile and pokey. We stayed in a suite and the room was comfy however... more

Stayed for one night on the way back from Ningaloo to Sydney after recommend. Compared to The Rydges, which we stayed at on the way to Ningaloo its location is not useful for the centre. The welcome and efficiency of the staff is good also the Opus restaurant serves good food and has a decent wine list. Didn't sample the... more

Purely business. Never give away a great secret place to stay. Pay compliments when due. A quandry. I have stayed at many of Perth's hotels name brand hotels and they are all expensive disappointments. The Richardson is a boutique hotel located in West Perth 20min walk from the CBD but next to a number of lower profile (but high value)... more

My Wife and I stayed at The Richardson Hotel for a weekend away from Melbourne. Upon checkin the Concierge staff were very helpful and the service was outstanding. The hotel had a very empty feel about it - not welcoming and warm as you would expect most 5 star properties to be. The hotel had very little guests, infact the... more

We stayed in a Suite for a night each on either side of a 3 day trip to Broome. The reception was very nice, staff were extremely helpful, friendly and organised. I was very impressed with the Concierge service. We asked for a late check out as were on a late afternoon and evening plane, they offered us a complimentary... more

This hotel ticked all the boxes; good location, professional staff, well designed and equipped rooms, nonetheless it left me cold. It lacked atmosphere and the furnishings altough of good quality were an ode to biege. It was nice but so is my mothers apartment. If you like hotels whose decor surprise and delight then this one is not the one. more
