Stayed here on our round the world trip whilst touring Australia, location was excellent and staff very friendly. Hotel meals were basic but excellent value for money. City is amazing with plenty to do, make sure you cruise the Swan river down to Freemantle and visit the zoo. Free CAT BUSES are a really good idea and just jump on... More

At $345 for two nights it is averagely expensive for Perth; but is located in a less salubrious and usefull end of hay street. Bathroom was newly refitted which looked good. And we found a very good Vietnamese by walking towards the harbour; but the hotel in General was overpriced for the quality and not that convenient.

I spent 6 nights here and it was an ok stay- also knew what to expect based on the $/night, but the amenities list is sub-par with the US standards- everything has a fee. Pros: good location- within walking distance to city center, restaurants, Swan river, etc nice and helpful staff Cons: surcharge for paying with credit card paper thin... More

Yes it is an older hotel but it is nice and clean and in a quiet part of town. Many restaurants close by - Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Italian and there is also the attached Blue Rock Restaurant that is very good. The rooms seem larger than most Hotels.I have stayed here many times but book early otherwise you may get... More

Not for a long time have I been handed a room key, yes a key. That's how old this place is. Bare minimum of furnishings. Check in clerk rude and abrupt. I know it's late I just got in from Brisbane so it's 2.00 am for me. Bed bent me like a banana , very uncomfortable. Bathroom .......only just. Television... More

Rude staff, had to pay $150 on arrival (nothing in the room was worth $150!) which a week later still has not been returned to my bank account! Two single beds, terrible quality, crap pillows, loud air con, noise from street, noise from lifts, terrible tv, foul breakfasts, old rooms with power sockets only located away from the bed. Paid... This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. My review based on the following: *Location It is situated on the quieter east side of Perth. Although within walking distance, about 10-15 mins to the shopping area, the Red Cat service that runs round the central is a short walk across the street after a traffic light. There... More

Reception staff. On checkin staff busy talking amongst themselves, and I found this a little rude as they tended to ignore you. I am sure the floor would have been better to sleep on as the bed was rock hard. I thought rooms were of good size and reasonably clean, although carpets need upgrading. Would stay again.

The staff were friendly but parking was a nightmare. It was subject to availability and there was never one available. We would get there and it was full. The restaurant closed way too early. 9pm. Very frustrating for European travelers. I don't think I'll be coming back soon.

I was in Perth for a short trip - 2 days work, 2 days recreation. I wish I'd researched the location of this hotel more thoroughly before booking, because when you're on foot, as I was, it does seem like rather a long slog away from all the places I was interested in being. Oh well. Reception staff were helpful... More
