You get what you pay for here. Central location so taxis are available at all hours to get to and from the airport (or clubs!). Didn't try the Restuarant downstairs but Hay St is just around the corner to suit all of your food, shopping and site seeing needs. Accommodation was basic, don't stay if you're looking for luxury. I enjoyed my stay at the Criterion, it's a 30 second walk to the airport shuttle bus stop, and is right in the middle of the CBD, you can get anywhere easily from the hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly, I'd give 10/10 for customer service. The 20% discount given to guests in the brasserie was nice. The... More

We were disembarking a cruise with a very late evening flight home to UK. Booked one night for use as a day room. The room was basic but clean. Decor could be better as it seems dark. We arrived at 9.30 am and were able to store our luggage in the baggage store until check in at 2pm. This allowed... More

The fact that there was no parking was disappointing and caught us by surprise. 100m down the road there is a Wilson car park which charges $10.00 for overnight parking but you have to be in after 5 pm and out before 6 am. You can then park in the street free until 8 am. The accommodation was simple 3... More

I cancelled when I found they had no parking and the closest was 1 km away and cost $ 45.00 pr. day. It is in a good position but is to expensive if one has to add parking cost. I saw the hotel from the outside only.

My wife and I thought we would try somewhere different to eat in Perth central area and decided to give the Criterion a go. We were not staying here. The staff are friendly but the chefs need to be taught about quality control. We started with Bruschetta. The bread was soft, the tomatoes were mushy and generally tasteless. For mains... More

Stayed here on 2 occasions. Both rooms very basic, but had everything you needed - tv, fridge, kettle, a/c, and private nice sized bathroom. Also there was free wifi, which was almost perfect condition - both very rare in Australia! A cafe was attached to the hotel, although I never used it. All staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Such a... More

Stayed with my son for three days, the hotel was in walking distance to resturants and eateries, the mall was one block away with specialty shops and unique little arcades. The rooms where basic but comfortable, we had a balcony, the bathroom and room were clean and tidy, apart from a few paint peels and screws on doors needing fixing... More

Stayed there in May 2014. The good: * Low price, good central location, room was clean. The bad: * the "free" wifi was intermittent and was very slow on the rare occasions when you could get a stable connection. Don't plan on doing work in the evenings if you are there on business. * noisy...only when someone walks down the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip in March 2013 and asked work not to book me there again. Felt like stepping back in time to a 1970's motel. Bathroom felt old and dirty with paint cracking throughout. Would not recommend to a friend.
