Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of a trip to Western Australia and again for a night at the end. From outside it is one of those typical Aus. hotels seen in so many towns in WA. It is wonderful that they have been preserved. Also has newer wings built on. Lobby area is spacious and the atrium... more

This hotel has a great location and I would stay again. They were very good with us and our young family. However there are a couple of points which I think are disappointing. The poolside rooms are overlooked by a 4 story noisy carpark. Unfortunate for the hotel because I'm sure they were there decades before the carpark. Secondly the... more

The overwhelming feature of the Esplanade is its location. In the local area, within a 10 minute walk, are numerous pubs, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, fast-food outlets, museums, public transport, the marina, the beach, tour operators, small grocery stores and really everything most tourists could ever want. If you are visiting Perth or Fremantle for a leisure trip, I don't know... more

Pretty ordinary place with a relatively high price tag. Rooms small and very basic. Food terrible, had breakfast in room one morning, it was inedible. Service was sparodic, some good, some non-existant. The noise is quite bad, I could hear guests in the next room, a lot of banging and clanging nearby too at odd times in the night. Do... more

This Charming hotel has a great location, is walking distance to Shops, Restaurants & Ferry's. After entering the front door you are greeted by a knowledgeable concierge then things seem to go downhill. The room we had was a little dark & cramped. As for cleanliness a decent Vacuum & clean sheets would be a good start. For food we... more

Stayed for a couple of nights over the Easter Break with my disabled wife. Good to have the valet parking which was part of a package deal my wife had organised. Quite expensive if not part of the deal though. Food at the breakfasts and dinner we enjoyed there was adequate. Should have a littel more variety particularly with the... more

This hotel has a great location. It's just across the park from a lot of restaurants on the Fremantle waterfront, including Little Creatures Brewery which is a great place to visit. Room rates I think are expensive relative to what you get, but then I find Perth hotels to be generally expensive anyway. The room and hotel are broadly fine,... more

Exterior looks run down. Close to restaurants and Fremantle Markets. Bed and pillow was comfortable. Free Cat Bus that brings us round the city and back with lots of Museums. However, very strict check out time. more

Looked on TripAdvisor and was recommended not to eat there. We would highly recommend that everyone takes note of this comment. We had breakfast in this hotel which I wouldn't give to my dog. When I complained to the maitre de he was arrogant and treated me as though I was a simpleton. He did not want to understand my... more

Nice place to spend some time. The rooms have been remodeled and they were working on one of the restaurants in the lobby while we were there. Had a woman singing on the weekend. Close to restaurants, weekend market, shopping and free bus. more
