Me, father, liked the Ambassador. It was a good palce to crash whilst we organised ourselves in WA. Central, easy to get around Perth, OK rooms, free internet (amazingly only next repeated 5 months later in Australasia) and a feeling of just being a hotel where you go out and find life (of course this is slightly ironic in Perth... more

the room was boiling hot and we couldn`t have airconditioner on because it had already been turned over to heating even thought the weather in perth was still quiet warm.if you want room service you can only have it for breakfast or dinner no lunch.and the room service menu is terrible.there is no mini bar.you have to pay for parking... more

Stayed here at the start of an escorted tour of Australia, where the brochure says "experience dictates that customers want to relax after the journey". Why choose this hotel? The rooms allocated were standard rooms which had not been refurbished - they smelt stale(being polite!), with a layer of dust around the fridge and cracked and discoloured sink - not... more

The perth Ambassador hotel is a 3.5 star hotel. The Deluxe, Corporate, Executive rooms have recently been renovated. The Standard rooms are well dated but your only paying the cheapst rate thats all you can expect. The Resturant offers both LA cart and take away service. If you notice on your food menu in your room it says Take Away... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in November and paid $165 for what was supposed to be a newly renovated deluxe double room. When we checked in, staff were very friedly and told us we'd been upgraded to a corporate room on the top floor which we were excited about. However upon entering the room, it smelled sooo disgusting -... more

OK, you walk in to the hotel and the reception really isn't quite what it looks like on the profile pictures . . . .but dont walk out . . . . I promise it gets better. A lot lot better! We stayed here 3 times over a 4 week period. The first room we had was an Executive Suite,... more

I've stayed at the Perth Ambassador 3 times in September 2008. The twin bed rooms are sort of dingy, but the king and executive rooms are very good value for the money. The hotel is clean, and the service is good. Spa area is not worth a visit. Good location! more

We booked this hotel because our business meeting took place nearby. $10 parking per night was reasonable compared to other hotels and the car park was big. The room was also big and clean. The shower was excellent. The staff were competent and very helpful. It is in the free bus zone so you can hop on any bus, it... more

We stayed at the Ambassador for a weekend because my wife needed somewhere quiet where she could finish writing a novel. Of the various deals on offer, we chose the Ambassador because of its convenience and the free broadband. The room wasn't very large, but it was certainly adequate (though the bar fridge was tiny and the shower stall rather... more

Although I didn't have the same cleanliness issues some other reviewers had I found the room quite shabby. It was large, with two rooms, one double in the main room, and two singles in the other. The whole place needs a facelift, the dinner wasn't great, but brekfast was fine. Reception were quite helpful, I was able to get an... more
