A hotel at the heart of the city. Less than a minute walk to the 24 hr convenience store. Few minutes walk to the train station and the main streets of the city. Nice and friendly staff. Tended to all my needs, fast check in, fast check out. Again, really Great location. Room is super clean. I didnt have to... More

Hi Sandy & Alan, Thanks for taking the time to post on Trip Advisor. Some really good comments with the exception of the check-in process you mentioned. I assure you that check-in is never guaranteed before 2 pm and obviously with only 6 suites in the hotel out of 245 rooms we do have to ensure previous guests depart in... More

Rydges is ok, but nothing special, especially considering the stiff prices. Breakfast: 24AUD, with a 10 minute wait for coffee. Wifi: 18AUD per day!!!! And that gives you a max up/down speed of a measly 1Mb/s, at best. On top of that it didn't even last 24 hours - I had to renew it 3 times in one 24hr period.... More

Hi Mike, Thanks for staying with us recently - sorry you weren't happy with breakfast or our Wifi service. We recently installed this new system so it was a surprise to read of your problems - I assure you I will look into them as our new fibre link into the hotel has generally been getting great comments. I have heard Perth is an expensive city and it is, including hotels. The Rydges is a nice hotel with a nice location but the rooms are nothing special. The bathroom is something you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The rooms are carpeted. For the money you spend, they should maybe look at hardwood floors. Then again, you don't... More

Hi Guch, Appreciate your comments and thanks for posting them on Trip Advisor. "Nothing special" but "worth considering" - guess we have some more work to do to ensure your rate us better next time around. Thanks again for the comments - and indeed the positive shout out you gave to our CBD Restaurant & Bar and our staff. Hope... More

It is comfortable, clean and well located, with friendly staff, good-sized rooms and everything you expect in a Rydges - car-parking, lots of assistance with what you want to see and do in the area, maps and advice, and a cheery good morning every day. The restaurant is a bit ordinary - both for dinner and breakfast. Not awful, just... More

What can I say, this is a pretty average hotel. Nothing really stands out except the price of everything. The bed and decor are only ok. Considering I had just come off 23hrs of flight and layover time from the US, I was really hoping for a comfortable bed to sleep in. Didn't happen. Slept terribly. Breakfast was expensive(then again... More

Hi Rezker, Thanks for the comments and for staying with us recently. Despite you saying the bed was ok, I apologise that you then felt you slept badly. I can't advise much on that point other than to say the beds are less than 2 years old and we usually get such great comments from our specially designed Rydges Dream... More

We arrived at 2am to a lovely welcome, the reception team were very welcoming and helpfull. Lovely hot shower after a long flight from London and then a good sleep in a comfortable bed. Good location, few minutes walk to the Jetty for our Swan River Cruise. Lots of places to eat close by.

It's been probably two years since I last stayed a Rydges Perth, and unfortunately I must say standards have slipped. I was offered an 'upgrade' but really it wasn't - maybe just a slightly larger room. The bed was sloping to one side, and the room was near the service elevator/ doorway which was a bit noisy. The room itself... More

Hi there Melbourne Traveller, Thanks for your feedback and for staying with us in Perth. Stayed a night at Rydges, where I have stayed previously. Its in a great spot for the shopping (Paris!!) end of the CBD. Much nicer than a bunch of hotels which are down the east end of the Terrace.
