Stayed one night at Citigate. In the lift is a sign stating that a total make over is happening. This is a good thing. The hotel is ok but needs attention. I was upgraded to the deluxe floor which was not deluxe. The bathroom only had a shower and was v 70's. On the up side the service is good... More

Currently hotels in Perth are (i) in great demand and (ii) expensive. So you pay a lot for an average business hotel like this which has seen better days. Location very good for the CBD and rooms functional if not super-comfortable. Breakfast OK. The hotel just rather sterile and outdated. Anywhere else this would be $100 a night maximum -... More

I had booked a not so bad rate for this place, I had found online, but in comparisson to other hotels, the Citigate is not more than average. The rooms are old and outdated, clean overall, but sure need a paint job here or there. The location is good, close to the CBD and Hay Street stores and restaurants. Bothersome... More

If this hotel is the best Perth has to offer, then the city of Perth is in great need of some good up market hotels. The young girl with a broken finger who checked us in had a face like stone and a attitude to match. No customer service skills or customer rapport was showen. My horrible bedroom had not... More

I stayed there for 4 nights on a business trip last year. The rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. The design of the rooms is average. No free WiFi. Breakfast buffett is OK, bread and cereal en masse, but a limited choice of fresh fruit. I would not spend my honeymoon there, but if you need a effordable, centrally located... More

Overall a nice hotel. Clean rooms, bathroom a little outdated. Expensive for what it is but then again so are most hotels in Perth. More

I stayed only 1 night at the Citigate Perth, on my way to work in my remote job but I'm glad I got to stay there. The staff were welcoming, friendly and courteous. I dined alone in the Restaurant that night and was very pleased with both the quality of the food and the very attentive staff who made sure... More

I had a great stay here in February. I had family come over from UK and we wanted to be together. The rooms are large and what you'd expect from a hotel of this rating. The lobby and bar are great and they have happy hour!! The pool is average but nice. You can walk to the city centre and... More

Stayed for a few days working. I had a junior suite. I have stayed in a few different venues in Perth and this one is unremarkable. While I accept that hotels in Perth are generally a star below any other city in Australia for the same price, it is important to not lose sight of the fact that these are... More

This hotel is an excellent location for all that Perth city has to offer. We found the room very clean and staff friendly - the only downside was that there was only expensive parking nearby. I would definitely stay here again. More
