Marilynne & Gary are the best hosts... they make you feel so welcome and nothing is a trouble... We stayed in the Pearlers verandah room just near the pool. Lots of nooks & crannys to sit around the property to read & relax or laze on the sun lounge by the pool. Weather was hot but the cool water of... More

It was such a pleasure having you both here for your holiday. You certainly made the most of your time in Broome, taking a really good variety of tours, visiting the iconic sites and dining at the various restaurants. Your feedback was so valuable to us, as we like to give our guests the latest update on what is considered... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my six night stay here in March on a recent business trip. Set in a tropical garden oasis, this rambling and attractive residence is a completely relaxing place to stay. The managers are lovely people, second-guessing every need, without being intrusive. During our stay, my colleague and I had to get off quite early each day and... More

Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at McAlpine House. It is a charmingly converted old pearling-master's house. It was a relaxing stay and the manager Louise was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The hotel has art and artefacts evocative of Broome's pearling heyday: there is much more of a sense of history than most hotels. The rooms are... More

If you are looking for slick, 5 star glamour, then dont stay here! This is a delightul old pearl lugger's home, bought by Lord McAlpine during his Broome heyday and which was his home until it was bought and turned into a small hotel. It has all the charm of old Broome with typiical architecture and delightful tropical gardens. In... More

As a regular Broome visitor I have enjoyed most accom. including Cable Beach Club, which is great, but, if you want a true-blue Broome experience McAlpine House is marvellous. Best Bungalow in town. Living like the Lord, in typical Broome-style, you can even kip in Lordy's bed. The Broome life-style to perfection. Surrounded by the art depiction of the Kimberlys... More

I stayed here for two nights and the property is in need of a bit of TLC but that can be overlooked due greatly to the attention give. To good old fashion customer service rooms are clean and gardens relaxing well done

I stayed here with my adult daughter and we both adored MacAlpine House. There is an authentic atmosphere connected with this house that immediately made us feel at ease. Beautiful tropical gardens, meandering paths, open verandas and little spaces where one can read and relax. The history of the Pearling Master's house is fascinating and to know that it eventually... The Pinctada McAlpine House is the perfect Broome boutique hotel. The stunning gardens and beautiful rooms make you feel pampered, yet also relaxed enough to feel at home. Staff Arielle and Louise went out of their way to make all guests feel special and their own love for the house was obvious. I can't recommend McAlpine enough, I will not... More

Rambling, stately, Mango and Tamarind tree shaded villa in Central Broome. A giant step back in time- corrugated roofs and walls, latticed, shaded verandas, original wood furniture and artifacts, lush gardens. A reasonably simple continental breakfast is served. Our stay in a garden suite was spacious, comfortable, with coffe, tea, wine glasses, fridge, marble shower, and extremely accommodating staff. A... More

We stayed here about 3 years ago so thought it would be good to revisit. We spent 6 nights and must say that we were disappointed with the overall experience. The property is very tired and due for an overhaul or some substantial maintenance. We stayed in a verandah room. The room was dirty particularly the bathroom with a build... More
