The staff there were absolutley fantastic ,looked after us really well. Loved the bar, great place to hang out and relax. Stayed in a double room ,dated but comfy. Easy walk to the beach...fantastic sunsets!! Public bus out front.....wouldnt stay anywhere else. more

We stayed here for 3 nights. Having stayed in hundreds of backpackers across Oz and NZ I would say this is very average. It has a great location but we felt it was a bit grubby and the double rooms are pretty uninspiring. more

Without a doubt the BEST BACKPACKERS i stayed at in Oz!! I'd planned to stay for three nights, i ended up staying long enough to see Christmas and New Year through! The place is a 5 minute walk from the awe inspiring Cable Beach. It's clean and well maintained and the pool is great to swim in, drink in, surf... more

We stayed here for only one night as my friend caught bed bugs here. In the morning when we showed the manager the sheets with bed bugs on it he just said ah, ok then. We got our money back & moved to Beaches of Broome next door (amazing hostel, beautiful). My friend's bites were pretty bad & she had... more

This complaint and the one below are from the same group that stayed at the backpackers. Its not true that we do nothing about it, quite the opposite. When bed bugs are identified, the room is quarrantined along with the guests clothing etc. We provide our washing machines and dryers at no cost . The room is thouroughly cleaned using...

The place is filthy, messy and it' s full of bed bugs! Even though the staff knows all about it there is nothing done. the mattresses are not even sprayed but are left in the rooms for others people to get bitten! more

I loved the place. When I stay at backpackers I usually dont expect much as long as its clean, I'am happy. I thought this place was great value. It was clean and well kept , its not glamorous like a hotel but I dont like that type of backpackers anyway they're too cold and clinical. They offer free buses to... more

What a dive for $65 per night! Bed so squeaky it woke me up to turn over (even heard through the wall from the next room), no privacy in a "private double room" thanks to bamboo blinds on windows, AC sounded like a plane landing, fan only worked at cyclone speed, tin dishes to rent were RUSTY, thin metal roof... more

Stayed here in June of `03...One of the best hostels in OZ..very friendly vibe..clean, basic, nice little pool, and best of all location!! 5 min walk to one of the best beaches and probably the best sunsets in all of Australia. Broome-Cable Beach was by far my favourite place in all of Australia. more

One of the best backpackers Ive stayed in. Friendly relaxed atomsphere and the staff were helpful and friendly. The place was clean, extremely clean and well maintained. It was well priced and represented good value as there were heaps of free meals and cheap beers at the bar. It was easy to meet new travellers and had a real social... more

Spent two of the best months in Australia at the CBB in Broome. The boys at the backpackers were fantastic. Being ex kimberly guides with a wealth of knowledge, they always pointed myself and my helpless friends in the right direction. The atmosphere was really cool and social. with-in the first twenty four hours you knew everyone, Lots of free... more
