checking into the Mecure, average stock standard welcome and registration. Barely a smile and disinterested robotic reaction. 'Superior Room' hmm I don't think a 4* deserving room (photos attached of defects) Loud families in corridors between rooms (single story) older section one would believe compared to a newer looking multi story wing. Average grounds. Average rating at best!

I recently stayed at the Mecure Broome for 2 two day stays and was upgrade to a deluxe room on both occasions. I found the location ideal - walking distance to the town area, bus stop outside the door. As I was staying by myself the dinning facilities I found very handy as I would not walk around the town... I was upgraded to a deluxe room for the weekend and, as a loyal (and frequent) Advantage Plus member, was pleased to receive such recognition. So what did my supposedly "deluxe" room deliver for my $260.10 per day? A spacious room that was cramped by too much heavy furniture, I assume of Indonesian origin, including, somewhat bizarrely, a chaise lounge... More

My room was on the second floor with a balcony (privilege room), looking over the park. WiFi worked very well, room is spacious and they have a secure car park. Reception staff were great. There is a self-service laundry (washing $3.00 and dryer $2.00) that was very handy for us. Location is also ideal - bus stop in front of... More

This hotel has the friendlies staff but that is about all it has going for it. It is about 20 years overdue for a renovation. Very shabby and tacky. The restaurant looked like a cafeteria but charged $35 for fish and vegetables. The rooms are all fitted with queen size slat bed and they are not comfortable. My initial room... More

This hotel was cheap and cheerful. Friendly staff both reception and housekeeping. The rooms are clean and had everything we required for the price. We were offered a late checkout to 12pm (instead of 10am) but anything longer than that was $50 per hour so we booked the room for another night as it worked out cheaper and checked out... More

I stayed at Mercure for 6 nights, upon request on check in I was upgraded to a Privilege Room on the 2nd Floor. This room was clean, and spacious and had a great view of the bay. I would recommend these rooms as I could understand some people being somewhat upset with a view of a car or another wall.... More
