We were recommended Barn Hill by family and other travellers; I don't do gravel well but the dust road was worse and quite slippery although drive able for a two wheel drive. The shaded grassed areas were full and everyone packed close together do we opted for a cliff top bay; unfortunately these were all taken and we ended up... More

This is a great place to experience the outback at its best. It is not 5 star and you need to be self sufficient ! However the unpowered sites are really good and have water. The views and sunsets are amazing and the beaches awesome. Good rates take cash ! A must see if you haven't been before !

Stayed here for 6 nights on unpowered site overlooking the beach and it was amazing. Easy check in pic your own unpowered site. Loved the open air showers something a little different but get in early for a hot or even warm shower. The little shop beside the bowling green has a few supplies, the coffee and vanilla slice was... More

Barn Hill was one of our best stays traveling around Oz, but you have to prepare yourself with the basics before staying, food, bread, milk, full water tanks, and if you have solar panels, or generator avail, then you will be able to stay in the best places, at the far end of the park, on the headland overlooking the... We loved the combination of red dirt and the beautiful beach. Probably not a spot for everyone as some people like spotless showers and no dust. But We had an unpowered site with magnificent views of the cliffs and beach.

Rustic campgrounds on a stunning beach. If you go between July and September it will be PACKED but there is a great Sunday roast with love music and a cute store with the basics and fantastic homemade vanilla slow and lamingtons. Sometimes you can order pizza and fresh baked bread as well, powered and unpowered sites, decent amenities

We totally loved our stay here and were sorry to leave. There was a 9km dirt and sand road into the park which took 25 minutes to drive, but wasn't as bad as we thought it might be and there are 3 gates to open on the way. There are 2 sides to this huge van park, one is lovely... More

We were lucky to find a roomy vacant unpowered camp site with an ocean view. Not much shade during the day but we spent most of our time on one of the two beaches, a five minute walk down the cliff. The showers and toilets were basic but clean and there is a washing machine too. We paid just $22... More

This was our first station stay and I have to say I expected something more familiar and not as big as this. Think you have to be 50+ to fit in with all the other campers. Most of them are there for weeks! So don't expect to get a nice ocean view spot. Or you have to arrive early and... More
