Location: 15 mins walk from Southern Cross Station, but with a very big luggage I would suggest a taxi or Skybus hotel transfer from/to airport, as the pavement is quite hilly. The hotel is a good walk to almost all the attractions e.g. to Eureka Skydeck or Queen Victoria Market is 15 mins. We didn't use the free city tram... More

As we only had hand luggage, we would have appreciated at least a water glass/utensil to use over the 4 days. A shower mat would be great to prevent slipping when you get out of the shower straight into the room on a slippery surface. We could not open our curtains as 4 windows of the surrounding buildings had a... More

Dear 706Rita56, Our inner city high rise location does present some challenges thats for sure. We have NO parking and in many of the rooms NO veiws. You're so right! But the upside is the location, it is just unbeatable is'nt it. So close to everything. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Whilst we dont have a lot of amenities in... More

I booked the cheapest room I could get in the ACCOR group of hotels. (We were there for a conference and only stayed in the room between 10pm and 6:30am) And cheap it was. The room (407) was very basic. We were a bit shocked by the contrast to what we are accustomed with. But, once we settled in and... More

Quite a good choice for backpacker or traveler with lower budget. I stay here for 2 nights with cheaper prices in Melbourne and at such a great location. My friend and I stay in a 1 Queen Bed and 1 Overhead Bunk room. The room is small, clean ensuite with bathroom/toilet. The window of the room is quite small, and... More

In my opinion this hotel is a good choice if you want to stay in a central city area. It is near the main station and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. For tourist sightseeing it is located also very good. The room is a little bit small, but ok for two people. It was very clean, but... More

My friends and I arrived with relatively low expectations, as it was the cheapest hotel in Melbourne we could find. We were, however, pleasantly surprised. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and we were given a room key card each - there were four of us. We stayed in room 214, which had a double bed and bunk beds,... More

An enjoyable stay and was value for money. The rooms were very basic and scuffed but the limited facilities were great for the cost per night. The location was excellent and the reason I stayed there for two nights.

Fantastic convenient location, and great to have a 24 hour reception for late arrival. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very basic, but absolutely fine for my needs - comfortable bed, warm and clean with shower/toilet.

Formule 1 Melbourne CBD is in a great location. It's about 10-15mins walk from Southern Cross station. Great for people on a budget. It's clean and tidy. We were in room 211. We had a Queen bed, with a single bunk at the top. It's small-ish and there's no bathroom you can walk in. A toilet closet, small sink and... More
