The location was ideal as around the corner from Queen Vic market and Lygon st. room was neat and queen bed comfortable a late checkout of 1pm was also part of the deal so a bonus unfortunately cleaning staff knocked and entered the room around 9.50am. and... Me and a couple of friends stayed here for 3 nights for the stereosonic festival! We paid for a queen bed and bunk beds, the room we were given had an extra set of bunk beds which made it so much easier than us all cramming! The bathroom is huge and was perfect for 4 girls getting ready. It was... More

Budget Ibis is a true-blue no surprises budget accommodation that meets travellers' essentials (i.e. a bed, a toilet and a TV). So if you have paid less than $80 per night like I have, then it is only fair to expect service and conditions fit for the bill. Hence this review must be customised for budget accommodation conditions. First, check-in... More

Dear PV, thanks for the comprehensive review. I'm sure it will assist many people. If anyone encounters cleanliness issues, please do let us know at reception, I do have faith that the housekeeping team do a good job, but we do live in the real world, if you think somethings an issue, it's an issue we would like to resolve.... Was first told they had parking,They didn't then the fridge in the room ran like a steam train at night and bunks where old and very squeeky. The room was tidy. But having to get up at 5:30 am to take car out of parking was a holiday killer. Communication was also quite hard to get past. This hotel may... More

This is more like an upscale Youth Hostel. The rooms are small but comfy. Its a good place if your traveling with friends or a small family. Rooms have double bed (very comfy and bunks). There is no fridge but your in the heart of Melbourne and convenience stores are everywhere. You can feel safe here you need a security... More

If you want to stay in a palace, go and pay for one. The Ibis Budget is exactly that: budget. Besides, you pay for the location, which is fantastic and in the heart of the city. We stayed in a Standard Room, which was unimpressive but adequate for a short stay. The linen was clean and pillows fluffy and there... More

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights while in Melbourne. Great location in the CBD. Rooms were basic Ibis Budget style but were clean and very quiet. Interiors could be doing with a refresh and the paintwork etc done. Staff were very helpful. Checked me in early without fuss. Vending machines etc available on the 1st floor. Option available...
