Very fun and friendly. Would not have wanted to go anywhere else because of the people I met. Although the kitchen is a bit messy and small, rooms are very spacious. Fun friendly environment to get down, especial friday and saturdays on the roof top!

If you are looking for somewhere to crash after dancing to bad music and doing lots of drinking then this is a great place. But if you are looking for a decent sleep then check the fine print on any and all of the hotels you look at. The floor of the night club is above the rooms of the... More

This place is a hit for the younger generation with a night club on top and a pub down stairs close to transport if you want to head out into the city or walking distance to a few local favorite hangouts! Will be defently coming back :)

I would never stay again.ever. Ever. Ever ever. Ever. Ever. Ps my roommate snored horrificaly. Best part was the en-suite bathroom. Decent location but reception was supposed to be 24/7 but no one was ever there. Definitely felt impersonal and rooms were dark. Hostel didn't provide any activities unlike others I had previosuly stayed at.wouldn't recommend it

Thank you for your comments. Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We are a working hostel so backpacker activities are a minimum but we do provide entertainment every night in the bar which is aimed for our guests. Reception is manned until late but there is someone who is on site and able to help... More

We moved here from base and def preferred this hotel. The rooms were basic but clean, the bathrooms were nice enough and the bar downstairs was reasonably priced. There are a lot of longterm stayers here who work so the noise levels stay down. It is a little bit further away from the main street but there is a really... More

Came to Melbourne on my own in August and booked the month package. Was in a 8 bed dorm and had the best time ever. Made a huge group of friends and I'm now living with them 5 minutes down the road.. Everyone in Beachhouse is nice including the staff. I miss them all but still go there all the... More

Stayed here for a week as it was prepaid for. Room was practically in a hallway. So dirty and smelly. No where to secure belongings, however we had a private room, which was accessible for other people staying in the room. Woke up one night to someone urinating down the stairs and then falling, breaking God knows what bones! Service... More

Thank you for your review. I was not made aware of any issues that you had throughout your stay. If our guests ever have any issues I am always quick to try and rectify the situations. Your stay was in a 6 bed dorm and this room is split into a 2 and a 4 so not a private room,... More

Staff were not that helpful, my room was dark, dingy and crowded. Very, very, loud some nights with the pub below. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you can avoid it - there must be better options in Melbourne.

The location is good and a couple of the staff are nice. However I would not stay here again. Dark rooms, super super loud on some nights (til 4am) and half the staff look at you like an inconvenience. Only some of the kitchen works. Melbs has some great hostels- maybe choose another

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to hear that you found our location in a great spot. Over the weekends our public bar and rooftop club do provide entertainment so it is very noisy here on the weekends, during the week though it is a lot more quiet. With regards to your comment re the staff, i will... More

By far the worst Hostel I have every stayed in! Within 2 hours of being there we were already looking at new hostels to stay in! You are in between a nightclub and a pub so you don't tend to get any sleep until about 2 in the morning. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, you'd probably be better off sleeping... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hostel and all your comments have been taken on board. We do state on all our booking sites that we have a pub and nightclub on site. Our pub is open daily and the nightclub over the weekends, the venue can be loud and busy during the weekends. Regarding your food... More
