Not boutique, just small. Better value to be had in Melbourne.

Waited 20 mins for someone to check us in, only to be sent to the wrong room. When we eventually got to the right room it was right next to a building site and was very small and outdated. DO NOT STAY HERE! I can't stress how bad this place is!

Buidling works taking place on the roof. We were not made aware of this via email on booking. Only place they have mentioned this is on their website in small print. I didnt book through the website. Nor was the distruption 'minor' at 8am on Saturday morning, it was like the drilling was through my headboard. Room very basic, small... More

I agree with other reviewers this is not a 4 star hotel, rather just a budget accommodation . I had 2 main problems with this place: 1 location- situated half a block away from 2 mens clubs. I was not comfortable walking at night around the area. 2 unfreidliness of the staff. When I got there I was not welcomed... More

Booked this hotel via our tour agency. The room is very very small, the location is quite far from the main city area though it's within walking distance to the QVB market. The breakfast is below average but still edible for non fussy guests. Wifi costs $4/hr. Overall, no complain for that kind of price but I will look for... More

Third time I stayed here - well priced and comfortable. Book direct - cheaper than Wotif

We stayed here for two nights and it exceeded my expectations. It is within walking distance to the rail station and the trams, and it is near to a restaurant serving halal dishes (Namaste), so that's a plus. At first I was intimidated by a couple of gentlemen's club and adult hotline services along the road, but it was unfounded... More

This is a very affordable hotel offering a variety of rooms to suit all budgets. My room (standard double with ensuite) had all the basic essentials. It was clean and a good size. The paint work was a little tired and the TV was postioned too high on the wall. These were the only minor downsides to the room. The... More

Made a booking with hotel club 6 weeks prior and paid in full for 2 rooms. Upon check in to hotel Sophia, reception wanted my credit card to hold a $150 security bond. As I booked 2 rooms they would be holding $300. This money would not be freed for 3-5 working days. As my credit card is a credit/debit... More

We booked our room on findaroom.com 2 weeks prior to our trip. We read through all of the guidelines which said that we needed our license and booking confirmation form to check in. Upon arrival we noticed on the counter that it said you needed an approved credit card to check in. This we understood as most places require an... More
