The lady at the desk was wonderful, they staff well but that's about it. Check in time was awful and I kept getting dirty looks and talked rudely to by the bar staff while I waited from 7am all the way to 2pm,as a past hostel worker myself I was disgusted by the cleaning staffs capabilities especially since customers are... Out of the way from Melbourne CBD the only good thing is being close to St kilda and chapel street. Otherwise you need public transport to get everywhere. The kitchen was tiny so you could barely cook, the social area was even smaller for the amount of people at the hostel- when in a group people had to sit on... More

Me and my friend booked a dorm room for new years... I lost my bag and didn't have the key to return. Staff were great, nothing was a problem to them. Only downfall was that there was no food during the day and not many places nearby either. Staff made us toasties though!!

We stayed here because it was cheap and I'm glad we did. The staff were friendly and helpful and let us keep our bags there until check in time. They offer cheap backpacker meals and drink deals as well as free breakfast. Clean rooms, clean nice showers, laundry facilities, but no air conditioning. I would highly recommend this place.

Stayed for 5 nights . The room was ok , facilities ok too like the bathroom and kitchen. Pub below is good Craic and it attracts a nice crowd of backpackers ..a lot of irish ! Food was nice in the pub and close to CBD and st kilda beach.Outside seating.

This was one of those pubs that I had been meaning to visit for a long time, simply because its location near the intersection of Punt, St Kilda, and Dandenong Road made it really easy to reach. However, since it had been a while since I have been down to the Prahran end of Melbourne, it had simply been sitting... More

Stayed here for 5 nights with my eldest son as part of our four month trip travelling around the world! Although the pub downstairs put some decent live music on plus some decent food the actual living area was a big disappointment! We were given a dirty room with bunk beds which had no rail on top bunk meaning that... More

It's convenient here. Take 15 mins by the bus to the CBD. The staff here are all kind and willing to save problems. They unlock the door to change my garbage bag in the morning but I think that's find haha. They won't bother you and I think that's the best hotel you can find under this price!

I arrived on a Sunday and downstairs in the pub was pretty loud and rowdy. If you're staying here on the weekend, it's best off that you're a party person or prepared to stay up late. But what do you expect, this is above a pub after all! The whole accommodation upstairs could do with a lick of paint, spruce... More

Hi there, Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate all feedback! We are actually in the process of getting the entire hostel painted, Our new scheme is cream and a dark greenish/blue! It is looking very nice at the moment. It is true that we have a very small kitchen and as we are an old heritage building... More

OK I have given this hostel 5 stars... but that is because I personally enjoyed it! The staff were amazing, big shout out to Joe and Stevie, who provided a fantastic service, thank you and the rest of the crew for looking after us! The beds were extremely comfortable as they were new, the room sizes were a tad on... More
