Booked Mercure/Pullman room for 3 nights for Australian Open recently. Very disappointed to be told after complaining about the terrible rooms that the Mercure side of the hotel is 3 * unlike the Pullman 5* We arrived and were allocated our rooms (2 couples ) to find that the baths in both rooms were disgusting, mould around bath edge and... We would suggest to reconsider booking at Mercure Melbourne Albert Park until they are done renovating their rooms. The room we got needed a lot of maintenance. The cabinet where they housed the refrigerator had signs of bad water damage, the couch in the room had "white" stains on the cushions, vents were really dusty, bathroom faucets were broken and... First of all, I'm a silver member, so our stay may be different from other non-members. We got a room upgrade and had a nice view over to lake. The building is modern but rooms are bit old. Walls are not really soundproof everything can be heard from the plumbing system. The weakest point was the Internet, both wire and... More

Price hike due to demand and very disappointed. Family room was very dated. Beds uncomfortable and saggy, obviously needed replacing. View of mossy roof and surrounding buildings. Bathroom very dated, laminate chipped, bath very old and stained, shower leaked around attachments, but plenty of hot water and good pressure Foyer lovely. Room service food and bar food okay, satisfied the... More

Checked in at 1530 and when we got to the room it was still being cleaned. Left for 15 minutes to come back to the cleaner just leaving. After entering the room we were settling in and another hotel staff member barged through the door looking for something. Unsure why she came in however looked through the cupboards and then... I had one night at this hotel during the Australian Open because the city hotels were booked out. It's close to Albert Park Lake (The F1 Grand Prix goes around it), so ideal for a morning stroll or jog. They share a large lobby with the Pullman, and it's quite lovely and relaxing, with a bar and cafe attached and... More

Great little hotel for price, location is okay but a little walk to any restaurants. Otherwise good bed, clean and newly renovated rooms. Just factor in that you'll want to add a short taxi fare for dinner. There is a onsite restraunt which is good but expensive.

I booked our room through Accor, as I am an Accor member. We had booked a room with 2 double beds. We were given an upgrade on arrival, to a 2 queen bed room. Very comfortable, cosy and quiet. At check in, the reception staff, including the manager were very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. Concierge... More
