Fantastic location right on edge of the city centre, where the free city tram is easily is accessible. From there we could access QVM, CBD, Dockloads easily. Paul the host was enthusiastic and friendly, and can cook a good hot brekkie. Amenities is a good balance between modern and traditional. The B&B itself was an 18th-century bakery and along with... I have really mixed emotions about our stay here. A bit pricey in hindsight. Location was perfect for our needs. Our host, Paul was friendly, accomodating and informative. Room and separate bathroom were clean and comfortable as were all parts of the house. The breakfast was incredibly disappointing. Maybe it was our fault as we were expecting more than toast,... More

We were so impressed with Paul's hospitality it took our breath away. Everyday he would do something that went beyond our expectations. The location is convenient for the CBD , Victoria Markets, the Docklands and Spencer street station. Great Breakfasts and Paul is so accommodating. He's also very knowledgeable about the area, not only about attractions but also the social... More

Doug P, thank you for staying with us at RITC and also taking the time to post your review. It was a pleasure meeting you both and chatting with you over breakfast as well. I'm glad that you mentioned our great location and our friendly, knowledgeable service. It's what sets B&B's apart from the inner city hotels. I'll look out... More

Paul was a great host and since he was born in the area was able to give us some good tips on where to go and what to do. We were only in MEL for two days so time was important and Paul volunteered to return or skis to the shop for us so we could get on the road... More

Recently spent a long weekend down in Melbourne and loved RITC. Paul is a great host. Welcoming, friendly, knowledgable and makes a mean breakfast. Particularly recommend the omelet!! We arrived early Saturday morning and it was no problem leaving our bags. Paul gave us maps and advice on where to go and we returned to find our bags waiting in... More

Paul greeted me, moved & parked my car, took my bags upstairs & cooked a beautiful breakfast the next morning. I loved the personalized service. I walked from there to the DFO's & Casino (about half hour) It was easy to get to, just took Dynon Rd exit off Citylink & I was there before I knew it. My bed... More

We enjoyed our stay in Melbourne at Robinsons in the City! Great host and wonderful conversations at breakfast. He was very accommodating and helpful in navigating the city and recommending activities and restaurants. A big bonus was that the B&B was very convenient to the free trolley that took you all over the city. We had a large room with... More

I chose Robinsons for my first trip to Melbourne, and I was travelling alone. The welcome was incredibly warm - felt very looked after. The rooms were lovely and individual, and the breakfast in the morning was amazing. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Eleanor

We stayed at Robinsons this past weekend. We wanted something central and not too expensive, we were going to a concert at Festival Hall. Chose Robinsons from Wotif because it was very handy to the concert venue. Well, what a surprise! It is the most personal, friendly, homelike accommodation I think we could have found - more like a lovely... More

We just returned from a month long vacation in Australia (there were 5 of us - two couples and a 25 year old son). We all enjoyed Melbourne and our 3 night stay with Paul at RITC is part of the reason. Paul was very helpful - giving us suggestions on where to eat and things to see. The RITC... More
