Stayed 3 nights here and i would say i had a good stay and a good night sleep. Its really close to the very famous Queen Victoria Market! so you can take a morning walk at the market. Its within walking distance to literally everywhere so its very convenient. Try the Gyu Tan Don (ox tongue) at Menya Ramen nearby... More

I arrived here in March and stayed here for 3 months. Considering this is one of the cheapest hostels in Melbourne it is decent value for what you pay for. Overall this is a decent hostel, the staff are very friendly, good atmosphere for backpackers, the hostel also has foxtel with movie and sport channels and there is also free... More

After reading bad reviews I was a little worried. However, I was very happy with my 4 night stay. Despite the very thin walls, most of the guests were very quiet and considerate. The place was nice and WIFI was useful. I would definitely stay here again, great location. Only problems were the uncomfortable beds and the shower temperature was... More

I was a bit nervous staying at this place due to the reviews, but I think there must have been a change of management (?) as the room was spotless when I arrived (and yes I've checked under the bed as well). I've also noticed the share bathrooms are cleaned even at night - they were spotless during the day... More

Wow, where to begin? The staff are incredibly rude and don't seem to care about the residents at all. It's VERY noisy if you are unlucky enough to have a room facing Elizabeth Street. Groups of other backpackers there have taken to partying all hours on the footpath with their booze and stereo. When I brought this up with the... More

I slept there three nights, and the bed was so small, I had to throw the mattress in the floor. After three days I put the mattress and bed back together and a hyperdermic needle and spoon fell out on the floor!!!! Totally freaked-out now, I called the desk person in who seemed nonplussed. I said I'm not touching that... More

It was a hot couple of days outside but the hostel has very few windows and heats up to be far hotter inside than out. The dorm rooms with tiny windows in some become ovens, over heating from the combined body heat of the guests. The guests in all the rooms I saw are disgusting, rubbish, clothes, empty beer bottles... More

Average hostel because of the location. We stayed one week in double room. Clean room, good TV, movies to watch, but is not very clean. They tried to clean, but the guests were very strange and messy. Not the same people we met in other hostels: students who come to Australia to work and have fun. The people here is... More

I can't believe, that people were allowed to sit in the lounge drinking and listening to very loud music all night! Showers and toilets were nasty. We had a double room, and you would expect that to be a little better than the regular dorms, which it certainly wasn't. Wonder what state the dorms in this place were in? Not... More
