One of the worst hostels I've stayed in in Australia. Unfortunately I've stayed in this hostel for a fair while, literally only because of it's location in the CBD which was close to my place of work. Cleanliness was atrocious, the kitchen and bathrooms were in an appalling state 3/4's of the time. This is probably attributable to the guests... More

This hostel was very disappointing. The girl who greeted us on the front desk was friendly enough and gave us plenty of information on the hostel. A second member of staff was also very friendly and willing to help. However this is where the pleasantness ends. My bed sheets were covered in hair and I had to go down to... More

If you are in Australia to drink and party, than this is the place to be. There seems to be a large group of people there that knows each other and hangs out all the time. This is the only upside of the place. All the other ones that are advertised are to be honest nothing more than marketing. Free... More

stayed here on a weekend and for $48 for two nights i was kind of expecting a horrible nightmare but i was most pleased with it. the place needs a good clean but apart from that the place is cheap and cheerful, the location is ammmaazzzing! one 3 minute tram right your at flinders street which is basically where all... Stayed here for 4 nights in April on our first visit to Melbourne and was quite disappointed. We had a private twin room with bunk beds - absolutely fine, the beds were quite comfortable actually - enough space in our room to unpack and still have space to move. Great location to get around the city on the tram network,... More

Hostel has a problem with double standards. My friend had her alcohol confiscated from her which is fair enough she broke one of the hostel rules. But when you see the staff members then drinking with their friends in all the other dorms making loads of noise maybe it's not that fair. I also found a poo in the shower... More

Thanks for your comments. We will double check about Staff breaking rules but that can't be the case or we have to sort that out on the spot. Feel welcome to come to reception if you have any inconvenience as we can help you out on the spot. We hope to see you again around and wish you a great... More

Now don't get me wrong, I've stayed in my fair share of horrific hostels all around Europe, Asia and Australia, but this was something else. Upon arrival I was "greeted" on reception by one of the most rudest and impatient woman I have ever met. I was given no advice or information about the hostel, just simply handed and envelope... Large hostel in the city so easy to get around. Kitchen often too crowded and dirty, plenty of bathrooms of varying cleanliness.. rooms spacious but obviously loud as its on a main road oppositr a huge train line (I'm sure some rooms are quieter than the one we had though). Seemed to be a lot of 'odd' guests they were... More

I spent a month there, & it's very nice! Good situation because not far from train station, mall, except if you don't like noise of train. I can slep with noise so I don't mind. The room are alright, bed are cleans, staff is friendly, the Ubar (downstairs) is good too, the kitchen is quite big,but not enough of cup... More

I booked four nights in this hostel and I did not enjoyed my stay in this because the atmosphere inside the hostel was really weird. Even though some staff were nice and friendly, what I noticed there is really an social issue inside. Newscomers (like me) were not really able to meet new people because everyone minding only their own... More

Hi there, I'm sorry you found us antisocial. We actually have so many activities pushing to socialise. Including Music, karaoke, trivia, dj, dinner (tacos, BBQ, pizza), welcome drink and kitchen where people always cook. WIFI is indeed free in the common area but you have the possibility to choose super one for that price. Hope to see you again for... More
