We spent one night in a twin private room. The facilities were dirty, specially the kitchen (was extremely dirty and disorganised). Common areas were uncomfortable and full of people. The building needs to be refurbished. Even though staff is friendly and the hostel was well situated, it is not recommended.

We only stayed here one night and it was nice enough, they supply free pasta and pancake mix which is cool. Stayed in a 14 bed room and it was an odd layout, but in a good way. Our area had 2 bunk beds in it which was nice. Though I shouldn't of looked under the bed, it was filthy!... More

I'm a firm believer in second chances so even when people are saying bad things against this hostel. I still gave it a try during my visit to Melbourne during the first week of January. What I found is actually a nice enough hostel with spacious rooms and well maintained showers and bathrooms. The comments about having no aircon and... More

Well, same old story. Big cities=bad hostels. At least often. This one is one of those. Untidy, noisy and surely not a place where you can find relax and peace. Common areas dirty and terribly hot in summer. People coming and going at anytime of both day and night. If you are a group of lads looking for party girls/boys... More

I had a 22 hrs airport transit, so i decided to get some decent sleep (as oppose to sleeping in airport...) and explore Melbourne but got no time to plan my trip. Conveniently located just down the road of Southern Cross Station, where the Skybus stops (30min average on road + 5min walking). If you just walk straight out from... More

Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms are not that clean, especially the showers could use a good cleaning. Rooms are typical hostel rooms, no airconditiong so it gets quite warm, but at least they were clean. Overall our impression was OK, but nothing special.

this hostel was great! The staff were helpful and were never too busy to help you out, also the rooms were clean and tidy. The bathrooms were good with hot powerful showers and I would definitely stay again!

It's a backpacker with shared dorm and bathroom. So it has no air conditioning , windows opened to allow air flowing as a result noise always from the street. Suggestion to bring a ear plug and eye mask for inexperience traveller.

This was the dirdiest hostel i have ever been to. The Most terrible is The citchen. Everything is just dumped in The sink. You have to search for 2 minutes to get a spoon or a fork. Woman at reception confronted and no result! Little bugs everywhere over The kitchen. The rooms are tiny and dirty. Seriusly, do not look... More

Hi there, Thanks for your comments. We have 3 housekeeping shifts checking the kitchen, maybe you were unlucky to go at the time there was some messy guests but In general the kitchen get cleared often and we even provide FREE pasta, rice, coffee, pancake mix and tea! Enjoy those and be happy! We do deep cleaning very often so... More
